Make voodoo dolls useable in all the open world and not just chult

Hello,

I think as of i remember them voodoo dolls are unuseable outside chult which makes them like nearly never used in a player experience now.

One thing would make them fun for me : make them useable in all "open world" maps so that they can have a second life.

You guys have worked several hours or dozens of hours to make them, why not allow crazy people like me to farm them for fun ?

It wouldn't disturb any kind of game balance if they dont' work inside instances, it could help farming campaigns by a little. They are long to obtain, and they are fun, why not allow us to play with them elsewhere ?

Cheers,

Wendy

Because they are finicky. Says so right in the tooltip.

It is (and was) useless in chult already. One needs to spend the effort to 'spend' voodoo item within chult for next to zero benefit.

Sure why not, lets add these voodoo dolls being sure for all content.. AS like we don't have enough of broken stuffs in this game.

    Dinosaur_Voodoo_Doll
    https://neverwinter.fandom.com/wiki/Dinosaur_Voodoo_Doll
More less kill undead minions.. And there is plenty of content which may fulfill requirements.

As example lets take, Tomb of Nine gods, or even Cradle of Death god, minions considered as unead, so you kill them all with one use of it.
Castle Never, other than boss can be wiped with this doll.

In short any content which have undeads = you wipe them all, as long enemy is not market as boss.

What a nice suggestion, which in short make all classes pointless.

    The Chicken Voodoo Doll?
    https://neverwinter.fandom.com/wiki/Chicken_Voodoo_Doll

Unlike above mentioned which kill all undead type enemies, this one turn any adds/minions to chickens.

Just bring one of them in Bank heist skirmish, and whole combat become nonthing more but a joke. A 5 players party fight against hordes of chicken who can't fight back.. But that's not all, bring it in lets say in Tiamat, demogorgon trials? What's about temple of spider( master)?
As you can see, this make 90% of game nothing more as irrelevant, cuz with this doll you render all enemies to chickens who can't fight back.

    There is third doll.
    Batiri vooodoo doll.
    https://neverwinter.fandom.com/wiki/Batiri_Voodoo_Doll

How many Batiri bosses do we have in game? As far I know 0, so there is no condition which would make this doll work.

As you can see, making these voodoo dolls being use in all game, would lead to breaking game..

I've always thrown them away. They're trash.

Do as gregwnd suggested, sell for coins, then buy Ale from tavern. It's one of games feature which improve gameplays quality.

To me they're not even worth the effort of summoning the vendor. Gone - move on.

So don't summon one. They're in each camp and in the Port.

They're useless, they take up valuable space in my bag, I delete them on the spot. Not worth the brain power of doing anything with them including selling them.

Why. To hold junk I don't want?

as other junk from chult they do stack and sell for gold; have issues with bags space - avoid chult
  • rockster#6227 rockster Member Posts: 1,860 Arc User
Chult is my fave location, I'm not avoiding it just because it has some junk I don't want dropping. I just discard it and move on.

...and they only stack if you have the same kind. But usually it's all different ones and they take up space as if they didn't stack at all.

If you have enough space, you don't need to spend time to discard every now and then. All my toon has enough space to vacuum everything without looking what they are until I finish the character. Then, they will be sorted out to move to shared bank (another temp buffer hub before going to final destination), to sell to vendor, to refine, to discard, etc. I only need to do it once instead of being forced to do inventory management in the middle of the game. For me, it is about QoL.

Hell, throw them away or sell them, I do both on occasions. They were worthless in Chult and are now as well. They give us a lot of stuff in many differing mods that is just a waist. Hell had the craftable potions that did some area damage, never made even 1. Barovia had the vampire kit, never worried about that either. Forget the dolls, fix bugs instead.
