Stats changing for no reason

Before I put this in bugs I want to ask u guys if u know what could be doing this ie; is there any other explanation. I just equipped a new pair of pants which have no awareness stat on them, to replace another pair of pants which also has no awareness stat on them. They also have no forte. One is a hundred or so higher IL than the other one. When I swap them back and forth my awareness stat (actual stat, not percentage) goes up and down by over 100 points but there is no reason I can see for this happening. Neither has awareness on it nor forte (not that this matters) and if the IL goes up and down only the percentage should be changing, not the basic stat itself. Any answers?
Apparently pointing-out the bleeding obvious is a 'personal attack'.

    Different Combined Rating on the gear.

    Combined rating means every stat will increase that much.
    If the original item has combined rating 1300 and the new item has 1400, every stat will increase 100 from combined rating.
