Do you have to kill ancient dragons to complete the dragon slayer campaign?

When I kill adults I only get scales not ridges, does this mean I have to kill ancients to complete the "campaign".

Queuing for ancients is tedious, killing them doubly so, having to do it hundreds of times over and over again to complete a so called campaign is insane.

Whoever came up with this should be fired immediately.

    Short answer: yes. I don't know how many ridges you can get per successful run though.

    Seems to be random.

    Even queueing for adults is a waste of time, nobody can hack in randoms. They all quit before the first phase is done.

    Everybody in my guild is on ancients, so I'm stuck with younguns in other words 0 progress.

    Make it trinity only and bump up entry to 35k for adults.

    You get 7 per Ancient kill IIRC. At least every one I've killed has.

    Only way to get them, which yes is completely ridiculous. But the "Campaign" isn't worth doing anyway.

    Should be:

    3 For Young Dragon
    5 For Adult
    10 for Ancient.
