Can we just nerf that ring.. Since I came back a few weeks ago all I hear is Band of air this and Band of air that.. Like the whole game is focused around one item.
Threat is a long topic and already mentioned many2 times on this forum. As a tank the current meta forced me to have a band of air too to hold threat, since most of dps on endgame using it. Besides Pally that blessed to have smite, its a range and also aoe encounter and also a hard taunt the other 2 tanks the Fighter and Barb only got a "soft taunt" for aoe threat. So you need to keep that in mind, they need more time to aggro all mobs.
Mobs seems not that much of a problem for an experienced dps, since they can kill quite fast now. For example my alt rogue with item level 35k but had a decent offensive stats can solo all the mobs on all random dungeon / advanced dungeon / skirmishes. And this is without Band of Air.
And for endgame dungeon like VoS, or RC. As long as you are patient enough, you should be fine. Taking one or 2 hits its not a big deal.
If they nerf BOA there will be a lot of people who just say HAMSTER it and leave because they made it such a chore to get that anyone who went through it and then to have it nerfed is just another slap in the face to the players, what are the devs thinking, is it something like hehehe lets make a really good item make them jump through months of hoops to get it then lets nerf it, hahahahaha, good joke dude.

Though I can understand your post, for the time you have put into getting that BoA, I must inform you of the following. Tanks (and healers) are neglected for quite some time now and stayed behind compared to DPS and are forced to find ways to keep fulfilling their role...
Since Tanks are getting VERY little time from DPS to build up a decent aggro control, a lot of them are starting to DPS even BEFORE Tanks does his/her job, all for that frigging pain givers list hype is it carrying water to the sea. ESPECIALLY with folks who have BoA and can't hold their trigger-happy fingers for a few seconds till the tank has a solid aggro control build... If you're talking about leaving if BoA gets nerved, let me turn the table. What about doing the mod23 Tiamat run without tanks to see how long you're still standing on your feet.
Look in a mirror and ask yourself what tanks are facing
Not sure why the BoA and Ribcage are being nerfed. All that will do is shave a few seconds off the run. But bigger problems like the best companion equip bonus being broken, the shield glitch, the 3rd Warlord Inspiration, and other common bugs that are more of a game breaker (because they waste players' resources) aren't be addressed first.
I don't have a BoA because I have jumped through their hoops before to find that what I got was now worthless, and so now I don't do it, sure I do half the damage of someone with their BoA but I do twice that of any other DPS in a random q who does not have it, I was just saying that devs should never release something until it is thoroughly tested and accepted to be ready for live so they do not first overpower players who acquire it and second so that after jumping through so many hoops and taking so much time to get it that they don't then make it a waste of that players time to have done it, especially not after a lot of time has passed.
The problem isn't the Band of Air so much as the threat table. The threat generators that the tanks have either aren't working properly or they don't generate enough threat to override the amount of damage being dealt by the dps. I'm pretty sure the Jewel of the north set isn't working properly. We've tested it out and there seems to be no difference between using that set or any other set. Seems to me they need to reduce the amount of threat generated by damage
Or, you know, allow tanks to do an expected 70% of the damage dpsers do like we were originally promised...or stop punishing tanks so that you have to over-invest for tank busters so we can have offensive stats...or you know, stop punishing tanks by making DoT based off your max hp so that increasing IL means taking more damage...or you know, change forte to a base 50% that can't be lowered so we're not getting double penalized increasing IL since unlike dps whose base damage increases due to IL, tanks take more damage if their IL goes up but stats go down...

You mean like the ribcage.
