I know it's probably not a high priority thing to do, but can the following keys:
- Brotherhood Key
- Elk Tribe Key
- Storm Giants Key
be just replaced with the Skeleton Key?
Reason is... well, aside from a legacy weeklies nobody is really doing SOMI anymore and thus all of those chests inside Svardborg are just wasted.

For last 25+ runs only runes for mod 10 gear ( armour/weapon) restoration where given as reward. And since new enchantment system implementation, it do not recognize these old runes. So reward is just nonsense.
Also removing keys from campaing. Hmm why not remove campaing over all. ? ( sorry for sarcasm).
I would say, reduce cost for these three keys would be better.. You want open all three chests? then do some grinding..

They should reduce the number of chests to two. One you can open with a skeleton key. The second you can open with any of the three from the campaign. Consolidate the rewards from the three chests into one for the loot table. That way people can still get Jarl's, etc.
Grinding for mostly outdated rewards in three different zones from however many years ago is a huge waste of time. And with so few trials in the random queue, it leads to me, and many others, leaving without opening a chest on a regular basis. New players have plenty of other things they need to be grinding for. And old players like me don't want to spend an afternoon in the Sea of Moving Ice.
(Also, rework the chest rewards for EVERYTHING already. It's all disappointing.)

So, I agree skeleton keys should be able to open these chests.
The only problem I see with having fewer than three chests is the three people who will want to restore SOMI weapons. Each chest contained a different type of mark. Perhaps they should just put the marks in the campaign store like so many asked for years ago.

All gear which require restoration process simply no longer work.
As for chests opening with Skeleton key.. I would say, give one chest which could be opened with skeleton key.
Now reason why only one is simple. The current chest locked to campaing realated loot with small chance to give some extra.. Take dungeon delvers event which increase chances to get best rewards. Now you have x3 chests and trial is not even hard anymore. Players stockpile Skeleton keys before event start and unload when event start..
Compared to other dungeons where you have up to two chest, this trial provide three.. So obviously it become number 1 for farming and rendering all of other game contents irrelevant.

If we are to reduce number of chests in svardborg to two, I would suggest removing them all and then add one normal chest and one chest that has to be opened with Runic Key (the one that opens FBI, MSP chests) while keeping the unique transmutes (like Jarl's Gaze or Historian Regalia).
That or just allow the elk tribe chest to be opened with skeleton keys. Fishing in SOMI is a thing of the past and afaik, nobody does that anymore, unless maybe for achievement - certainly not to get the keys.
I'd be pretty bummed if a Trial had a requirement of...skeleton keys.
Also, I often get close to 100,000 Astral Diamonds just from the trial, when I open all three chests. To me, that's more than enough reason to play.
I mean, if you're not playing a Random Trial for the AD...I really don't know what you're doing there. But, maybe that's my gross reductionism to match the blanket statements I'm responding to.
