We need Boss like this, let them arrive like this, this style of footprint... falling and raising dust... we don't need 4K or 8K graphics, but more immersive Boss interactivity that scares you... Giant boss, castles gruesome, not stolen boss damage. We need that darksoul style. Look at the size of this map... that's what players call... if you want to copy something, copy this... this video in its entirety... the game system... think of the world of the Forgotten realms like this, in this footprint ... it's going to rain players... that's what we need in Neverwinter... I'm not talking bad about the game, on the contrary, I want it to improve even more... A more adult feel...
Does Neverwinter need that immersive style of play?

That said, there was a time Neverwinter focused a bit more on story telling around Module 8 and 9 with Maze Engine and the Dwarven King, but then the responsible dev left for WoW and that approach died off. I would love to see more original story telling tied to or even independent of Modules. Especially since they took away the ability of the community to do it themselves with the Foundry.
As for difficulty. Again hardcore content is niche content. You won't fuel an MMO with that alone. I think Hardcore VoS has mostly worked as "Soulsbourne" approach although at this point most deaths are probably luck/bug and no longer skill-related. Still there are times a potent group isn't able to complete it in a couple tries because it's hard to focus for an extended period. This game surely needs more skill-based boss fights still and less item level barriers like CoK.
Funny story, the day they removed the Demo from the RTQ I decided to do an RTQ with my CW to test the improvements I made on it and believe me, I joined as a replacement in a CoDG that had already failed and that we completed most of the content with 6 players, 2 tanks, 1 healer and 3 DPS (my cw 50k was one of these), as the other players died more than 5x or before the boss.
Until today I wait for the adaptation of Mith of Drainor, and nothing until today...
And yes, this game certainly needs more skill-based boss fights and less item level barriers like CoK.

Something good has... it holds the players, but Neverwiter doesn't, you don't have the satisfaction of playing an epic campaign anymore, it's in that sameness of adding AD all the time...
