Game launcher patches game again?

Hi,

So i downloaded the game yesterday again after not playing for more then a year, and then played the game today for many hours.
I wanted to change to my other account because i have 2 accounts.
Then it said "too many attempts. Please try again later.'' I never seen this before? I only switched 1 time :/
But how much later would that be?

But anyways.. i exit the game and wanted to restart the game launcher again.
Then i see it started to patch the entire game again?

Is this normal?
Something i can do to prevent this?

    Generally speaking, system maintenance occurs on tuesdays or thursdays. That is when servers go down and new versions are pushed out (if needed). If you downloaded the game before maintenance yesterday, then what happened is expected as maintenance did occur. Although there is a "patch on demand" flag in the launcher, I recommend that you don't use it.

    Ah yes i think i started downloading when server was offline yesterday, and went on going to do something else.
    So i think you might be right.

    Also the game pre-patched for Mod22 on Friday too. So that could have been what was happening.

    Few days before the new mod launches, the game is pre-patched when you exit the game as mentioned to ease the load on the launch day.
