Double Jumping! What this game could use to turn up the combat!

It is really quite a good combat based game - that's for sure - but it lacks a classic feature of all great combat mechanics - Jumping!!! - Jumping is a classic move in almost every great combat game - Kingdoms of Amalur lacked this key mechanic and the combat felt that it lacked something, like a missing feature that could have made it an excellent game beyond doubt! - but let alone double jumping, it didn't even have jumping - NW on the other hand has a lotta combat mechanics, and you can jump - and you may not even feel that it lacks anything to make it truly excellent! - but despite that I feel that if it is introduced, double jumping would be a superb addition to the range of motion available to combat techniques - like to jump over adversaries and attack them from a different angle, or to jump over some terrain and head around them - or launch encounters in air! So much to add to the combat it should be seriously considered as an additional combat mechanic to be implemented!! L8ER!

I guess this is why the game Guild Wars failed miserably and only sold 6 million copies back in 2009 because the game has no jumping mechanic at all.

It is a good thing they added jumping and swimming to the sequel, but again they failed to add double jump and only managed to sell 5 million copies in 2015. Don't you just hate it when classic games like Frogger just cannot understand the basic need for physical reality demonstrated by the average parkour sportsman?

PVP players would probably hate it but who cares. I think it's a great idea.

couldn't imagine anything worse than having hopped-up adren junkies bunny-hopping around mobs... don't understand what this introduction would achieve accept p*ssing people off, i guess next we will be requesting strafing... having flashbacks to playing enemy territory!!!!!!!!!!!!

You can strafe already. If you're in combat mode you automatically face the enemies you need to hit no matter what direction you move, forwards backwards or sideways, so if you hit A or D while in combat mode you face forward but run sideways at the same time which is more or less what that is. Handy hint for LoMM: When in the worm phase and the boulders are there and you're all getting sucked into the middle, rather than try to face away from it and run forward towards the edges to avoid getting sucked in and not be able to see much besides walls, you can turn to face the worm and see everything happening, but press S to run backwards and A and D to move sideways and correct your position and move towards the relevant boulders (or away form the golems) while still looking ahead at the entire scene you need to see.
