Info on Companions

Hello,

it’s basically impossible to find exactly how companion work. Eg. Why Xuna is so powerful, everyone knows it is, nobody really understand why.

Or whats the exact difference with the new update between augmented and non augmented companion. And why an augmented is better than another one?

I would suggest to make a nice video/post where you explain exactly how it works with some concrete example.

It is very easy to compare augments, and to determine whether one augment is better than another, as that is only a matter of simple stats. It is much harder to compare active summoned companions.

As for comparing augments vs. actives, well, my advice had been for healers to use Augments, as their extra stats help them more, and for DPSers to use active ones - however, there are situations where having an augment is problematic, it may die at the wrong time, or run off and aggro the wrong mobs.

So, there is no simple answer to "what is better".

I’m happy that’s easy for you, for basically all of the people I ask (and some are quite experienced) it is not. Hence my post.

But as you know it so well maybe you can point me to a guide?

Or should I rely on excel files exchanged in discord?

    Thanks

The only thing I said was "easy" was comparing augments, simply because they are pretty much identical, except for which additional 3 stats they give an extra bonus to, which you can look up in Rainer's pocket wiki.

Determining whether to use an augment in the first place is harder, but if you want one, then the "best" one is just the one that gives bonuses to the stats you need the most.

    Easy.

Ok, but isn’t it crazy we have to look at Rainer instead of the official site? Btw, where do I find the pocket wiki? I o ly see the Mod16...

Plus, ok for the augmented, but what about the active? Why is Xuna so powerful? Where do I see these info?

    Thanks

Has he updated it yet? Last time I looked at it it did not show the 3 stats that each comp enhances, let alone the numbers at mythic.

Of course these things wouldn't need to be done by others if the devs would put it in a help file in the game...
