anyone figure this out yet? I've spent hours trying to figure it out.. and find just map swaping is the fastest (only had one drop so far) way. Can't find any mobs that are it.. have tried doing dogs in the scab but either they spawn and someone kills them or thats not it.

Killed it. (no drop of course)
Went back to the scab.. Garx walking around like he owns the place.. Didn't bother him but killed more hounds.. went back to the docks.. no scout.
Granted.. I have spent 20mins on preview just seeing if this would work.. so obviously not long enough to come up with any workable way. However.. if that is how you spawn them. Whoever came up with that hates farmers. there is no way to get across the zone to get the mark after we did all the hunting.. Someone will always come back with "this is a party type farm" which if that's the case.. so be it.. it's just not how some of us play this game. One thing that has always happened with hunts is you spend time clearing a zone waiting for the mobs to spawn.. you are on one side.. some random person comes and kills your mark and either you see or you don't. Its not their fault (it could be but again) it's just the nature of the hunt..
I go back to an original statement to which I expect no response or answer seeing as it never has happened. When will we ever get a howto on these hunts. And by howto I don't mean from other players, but from the ones that actually built the process? I've always wondered that with this game.. why there isn't a howto with anything new that is released. Just here you go.. figure it out and share. or dont. either way we don't care.

Yup. killing 10-15 Hounds in the Scab makes 1 of the 3 Scouts spawn in the Docks. Did on preview with no one in the zone. Another thing to note. It's said there is a random Scout that forms in the Scab. Which location wise would make more sense. Are the scouts bugged and not loading where they should be?
It falls along line with the 1 of few locations of one forming just like the manes.
Confirmed 5x.
The Doggies in Scab spawn the Scouts. We had 2 of use killing and 1 lookout on the docks. counted 10 dogs and boom. instant spawn. Sometimes was 1 or 2, because there obv was carryover from someone else.
So there you have it.
Either this is bugged / not working right / messed up spawning location. OR they want us to party this. Either way.. thats what we spent the past few hrs (and days) figuring out. now to farm this!
If you want to make your hunts most efficent you must do it in some sort of party. To be strict every rare huntmark is spawned by killing 8 normal mob looking like huntmark.
8 hezrou spawn Searing one
8 riders spawn greater one
8 noble cambions spawn Enhanced one
8 erynies spawn Intrerrigator
8 dwarfs spawn Demolisher
8 hellhaunds spawn Scout
Our team counts around 12 people, we split all over the map and call eachother for rares in each region... Everyone wait for eachother and everyone uses at-wills only that every hit would give an opportunity for a drop... Lure can drop by hiting the mob even once. Sometimes we drop 3 lures at once. Thats why we think its better to do it in group. For a week we have made over 200 different hunts with 40+ Scouts and 40+ Hezrou that are most rare...
And yes we may be coordinated, our way of doing this is kinda restrictive... First of all we want to drop items in the future. But we all think that separating huntmarks and mobs spawning them to 2 different regions is the worst idea ever made in history of hunts 🤣
I wrote it already in other thread on the forum related to hunts.
I would like to see official confirmation from devs also and short guides would be allways welcome... We really dont need to have things pointed directly, but honestly devs you proved us that eastereggs and mysteries are not your strongest side (the great Watcher easteregg for example 🤣)
Well, this plays perfectly well for the Demolishers, as they spawn in the area where you kill the mobs. And there are just related mobs on that spot.
Scouts, on the other hand, spawn technically in another map. There is no incentive to "accidentally" kill hounds (no such quests) - and hounds spawn randomly amongst other types of creatures.
Those two are the extremes of the system. I think, with the next tiers of the event, we might get something that will promote the hound kills (like some doggy quests/heroics... imagine 8 dog packs howling on the portals instead those fiery guys ), however, in the long run... placing the hunt mark in a different area seems like a bad move.
