    I'm having the same problem. I was trying to change characters. It wouldn't change characters. So, I tried a couple times. Instead, it logged me out. When I try to log back in, it is saying 'Unable to Authenticate: Lost connection to Account Server' and I cannot log back in.

    Yes...same problem! they messed up something with today server maintenance

    Same issue, also on different machines and both in STO and NW
    Play for fun, Work to get rich, These two are not compatible!

    Yip same thing happening to me. Went to switch characters, it took like 30 seconds before it exited back to login screen rather than character select now just wont connect to account server.
    Suggest not putting Jack Daniels in the hamsters water bottle after patches anymore, it seems to cause unwanted side effects quite quickly.

    It's now 1:36 pm EST (10:36 PST), well past patching time. Got disconnected maybe 15 min ago and login server is still down. Anyone else?

    Was working just fine at 5AM. Now, nothing. Might want to fix this, or start coughing up VIP time lost because of it.

    Having same issue. Started just fine at around 1:20est or so. Invoked and puttered around with 2 chars, went to change chars and timed out. Now cannot connect to server.

    They are aware and working on it. The server will be up again shortly.
