Kitty Bards in Protector's Enclave?! What the ... what?!

Don't worry about me breaking a NDA, folks.

Just me hoping that both Tabaxi race and Bard class will be included in Module 19. After all, Bards have become more and more visible … and who amongst us does *not* want to play a Kitty Bard like Nipsey (Kitty Bard from Tales of Old)?!

Rise up, my sisters and brothers and let the Devs hear our caterwauling in earnest unison!

Storm the gates!

*RAWR!*

Tabaxi have been in this game since they first appeared in Chult. I take it you never been to Chult yet? So yes, I am somewhat disappointed they were not the next race added in module 17. I probably would have purchased a slot 9 and 10 just for that alone. We got the "easy race" the Gith. No body modification needed, just whack off the nose and make a lot of skin textures.

Now we have the bard tabaxi singing about the Grand Reselling (aka Tales of Mold) also disappointed that not one of the NPC "bards" actually sing. Champions and Star Trek appear to get some real cool content from Cryptic, while we get Gith meat, recycled content, and a broom closet for a map. Champions have bards in the form of Rockstar Archtype added four years ago. They even have "real" flying carpets, they actually fly, that predate this game. Meanwhile Star Trek got a mess of new emotes, some of them fit Neverwinter better than Star Trek; one that has your player carry a lit torch and another where they play a small accordian.

I am always happy to see more content added to all of these games. I know someone will say, "Star Trek and Champions are not the same property and this is D&D.". This is D&D in name only, if you really think this is D&D; I would hate to see the crappy dice you roll at your table. Combat must take you hours to calculate the results with the formulas used as well. Let's not forget you are not allowed to play as a bard, monk, brawler, etc. and you can't have Gnome, Tabaxi, Warforged, etc. as your race.

I don't expect everything in any online game, so far Champions is the only one of Cryptics current games allowing Free Form slots.

I would prefer to see Genasi or Aasimar, but any addition is a good thing, I suppose.

Bard is a maybe. Nothing against them, but I have to see how they are presented.

    Races are not that hard...
Not much of a stretch to make something humanoid (Genasi or Aasimar) for the game as a new race, the Gnome isn't really that difficult either. If they made the Tabaxi, the head gear wouldn't look good, but that is why I disable the visuals on my tiefling. For many years the tiefling tail would look weird on mounts. They disable the tail on mounts -which is ok- maybe not the best choice, but it is better than it was before.

My husband and I disagree about classes. He says that adding more classes disrupts the balance of the game mechanics. This leads to a chain effect that requires all other classes to be balanced around the new class. He compares it to a badly stacked house of cards that can collapse at any moment. I believe the best way to go is a Free Form class. The player is given points to spend on designer powers. For example; If the power is highly offense based, there needs to be yin / yang balance to offset the features. The idea isn't to make an overpowered free form class, just have the tools to design custom class. Then players could create the druid, bard, etc. themselves. Most of those things exist in the game already.

Your husband is not wrong. Look at all the issues that occurred when the paladin was introduced.

New races/classes have to be approved before they can be introduced.
