How many mounts & companions can you have?

I currently have 4 mounts in my stable and 1 in my backpack. How many can I have? Is there a way to swap them out for other mounts that are better?
Same question about companions.

    You can put as many mounts in your stable. As soon as they are in the stable, you can never move them back to the bag. But you can switch mounts to use on the mount interface:

    Press C> Mounts. Check the options on the right and the tabs on the left.

    And once you unlock a speed, that is alway selectable until you unlock the highest speed, currently at 140%.

    As for the companions, there's no limit as well. You can access the interface at C > Companions or = in keyboard.

    ps. to check all the mounts and companions in-game, click CTRL+J.
