Retainer

I have been to the work shop and got the quest running the workshop but it won’t give me a retainer I can’t seem to get a retainer so I can start doing stuff to so then I can accept applications it won’t let me accept applications and it won’t let me get a retainer please help me

    In the beginning of workshop, the owner asked you to choose one of the retainers and these retainers line up in front of you. Did you choose one of them?

    I think I did but I don’t see my retainer I don’t remember seeing them lined up

    So please help me since I can’t find my retainer I need help and what do I do to start accepting applications and also please help me get a retainer bc I picked one I think but I can’t find it the retainer is no wherew not even by the material merchant help me

    The retainer is standing in the workshop but you do not see him or her?
    Since you can't even see him/her, it probably means you did not choose the retainer for whatever reason.
    When did you start the workshop? Long time ago? Or, recently?
    If it is long time ago, it may mean you forget you chose the retainer. And, the issue is not the same as you did choose the retainer but somehow he/she does not show up.
    If it is recently, you may miss some steps and I don't know what they are.
    What are the quests listed in the Workshop? Type 'J' and look for 'Workshop'.

    There are periods during the introduction quests when the retainer stands next to the profession trader outside the workshop. (when you leave the workshop, there is a marketplace straight ahead of you... and slightly to the right)
