Hell Pit Event Question

Hello
Got a question here.

I have been checking out hell pit and i accepted first quest on a wrong char - didn't know it cannot be abandoned and re-accepted

After refresh tomorrow can i accept it on the correct DPS char?
I understand it is per account, but can I accept it on another char next day after refresh?

    Are you able to abandon the quest and take it on a different character?

    Can't abandon.

    That's a problem - only one character per account.
