tymora's gift event / degraded profession resources

Is it intentional that Tymora's Gift event is rewarding degraded profession resources? I know that these can be traded in at the professions workshop, but it just seems a bit lazy on the part of Neverwinter not to have updated this. As far as I remember, it was doing this the last time and it is a bit depressing to receive 'broken' resources.

Is it like this just for me? I have opened over 200 gifts of Tymora and have yet to receive any of the limited time event rewards, a fool's crown, fool's fashion set or even a Lucky Coin (I thought that these used to drop like candy)...

is the turn-in for Tymora's Gift bugged? I am a bit frustrated. I just want the Coin Storm pet - is the drop chance less than 0.05%?

I think there was a mention of fixing this in a patch note some time ago. If so, then whatever they did didn't work or got reverted.

I agree with this 100%. I would much rather get the old materials that I can trade-in for currency to buy something that I want and intend to use right away, as opposed to getting a new material that I either no longer have a use for or will have to wait until I can use it.

hmmm, now that you guys mention it, that is very advantageous. I guess I do not mind so much now. yeah, I would rather have that flexibility.

it just seems sort of lazy on neverwinter's part to have an event where they did not update the rewards list and you get degraded materials, but yeah - it works to our advantage.

but can someone confirm that they have received the coin storm vanity pet in this latest tymora event run? I just want to make sure that the reward table is not broken, and I am opening gifts for no reason.
I have not gotten any special items, just resources (some of them rare, but still degraded), and low rank tymora's blessing enchantments, and a whole lot of potions. ugh.

I have a reported degraded resource that cannot be traded

Amazing. Are we at 100% broken events for the last several months now?
Zero event items, zero crowns, fashion, nada. Old profession items.
Saturday.
Another broken event.

Maybe they ninja patched it because I opened 100 and got absolutely NO special items.
Then again given my ME/WE/FE rates I feel like someone slapped a big GIVE HER NOTHING mod on my account so maybe it was just very very very bad RNG...

... I had to open well over 1000 gifts of tymora, but I finally pulled the coin storm vanity pet. cheers to all the people that opened less than 100 gifts and got their pet. I just hate this random gen probability with events like these... they should have made it so that the currency you earn (favor of tymora in this case) can be used to buy the limited time vanity pet. As it stands, the currency can only be used to buy an Amphail Fancy Horse..

I am so angry and disappointed, and for an event like this, I should not have felt so frustrated - it should be a fun event, not a grind.

at least make it so that after a certain # of gifts opened, the probably of getting the limited event item increases.

... for some reason, in the LAST 100 gifts of tymora that I opened, I ended up getting some other event items like the fool's fancy cosmetics and some spinning coins. but over 1000 gifts - what a waste.

the event just went to show how terribly unlucky I am with RNG.

((although I suppose it could have been the reverse case where I received a coin storm vanity pet after opening just 10 and then I would not be posting on the forums))

I got a spinning coin and was a bit surprised it wasn't part of the collections for the even so i started selling the gifts for ad...made about 600k without any grinding so i'm satisfied with the outcome of the event. so far most of the game has lost its shine since mod 16....it's still a little fun enough to play but the fun level is dwindling away with every new event. hopefully they'll figure out something to make winterfest more fun than it was last year....something like the year before last would be way fun.
