Enchantments lower than rank 7....why do we still have these????

With the way leveling up has been so "streamlined" now and the fact that that enchantments go up to rank 15 now.....why are the rank 1-7 enchantments still in the game? the only time anyone would get any small amount of usefulness from them is possibly when they are levels 1-15 but at those levels none of the gear has enchantment slots. You can spend 6 trade bars or less than 1,000 AD on any rank 7 enchantment.

Suggestion: Remove ranks lower than 7. make 7 the new rank 1.

Absolutely no issue with those ranks remaining in the game. It's called refinement points. If they bother you that much donate them to some rp needy players ;)

...or your guild's mimic. Leveling characters still get the lower rank enchants. Bradda sells r1.

There are gear that low level character (such as level 4) can use that has slots. e.g. Ring of the Dragonslayer, xvim gear, Mulhorand gear, Dragon bone gear, ...
However, people may just put a r7 into it.

besides maybe the dragon bone dropping from charthraxis, and neverdeath is like level 23....all the other ones you described are bought. if someone spends 100,000 AD on a xvim set or mulhorand they definately ain't putting rank 2 enchants into it
Well, one can get those from a friend and be the lucky person and get it from opening a lockbox.

Anyway, the low level enchantment has its place such as making a r7 from r1,r2,r3,.. and put that r7 to AH to get that < 1000 AD from somebody else. Low level marks and RP are virtually free these days.

What do I do with those bound low level marks? One may choose to dump that to RP. However, all my characters basically have unlimited RP (bound in the purse) already. What is the point putting more to it? What I need is to spend them. Upgrading low level free unbound enchantment with 0 cost (except my time) is what I have been doing to 'spend' bounded low level mark and RP.

Since enchantment is not normally dropped anymore, someone needs to supply that r7 to AH. :)

Yeah, but unless they changed it, you still can't donate anything lower than like 3 or 4? to your guilds mimic. I completely agree with OP about this one. I've even made the suggestion myself a couple times over the years.

having these lower rank enchantments still in the game only adds confusion for new players as they are immensely useless at endgame. and the time they waste upgrading them and the resources would be better spent elsewhere or saved for when they hit max level. I've leveled 8 characters by doing quests and dungeons, and only for the first few levels did the low rank enchantments drop. and as i had trade bars i just bought rank 7's for all the slots and used whatever gear the enemies were dropping to level up. when they hit level 70 i converted the rank 7's to rp as i bought them rank 10 and 11 to replace them. these low level enchantments are not only near useless to the players, they take up resources of code and server RAM to keep them functioning.

Low level enchantment drops in event such CTA. That is where I got the cruel, brutal, etc. from r1 to r5. Yes, I did those to farm those r1 to r5 enchantment. They may not be attractive now. They were and they may be in the future. I expect 2 stat and 3 stat enchantments will be useful again in mod 17.

cruel, brutal, wicked...all drop from lockboxes at rank 9, i know i convert them to rp on a weekly basis
Well, you are AD rich and I am RP rich. It is good that you put yours to RP. I put mine to get AD. RP is useless for me.

When you create a new toon and are levelling them up and have saved up lower level enchants from other toons who earned them you can give those lower level enchants to the new toon to use in game. This is great because you don't have to unequip them from the new toon and can just toss them with out with old gear you have them attached to.

Unequiping enchants from new toons will suck up all its gold where as if you have dozens of lower ranked enchants saved up that you have no intention of keeping/upgrading it's a win win.

On that subject, why with us having up to rank 15 enchants/runestone does the tradebar store still offer rank 7 enchants? It should probably offer either rank 9 or rank 10s, that would make a bit more logical sense.

And now a different perspective from someone who does *not* have VIP, so therefore no/limited enchanted keys and no tradebars (so I don't care what is coming from a lockbox or at the Tradebar store).

Low level players that are doing the leveling dungeons are rewarded in Adventure Shards. The reward for those shards are rank 5 Enchants. As mentioned many of the events drop R1-4 enchants as do QM bags. Those events are a great source of unbound 3-ability enchants.

As I see it (and I have upgraded many low level enchants using all the R1/R2 MOPs that were in Leadership boxes pre-Mod15) the problem is the scarcity of R4 Enchant stones and R4 MOPs **as a drop**. Those that have them, got them from Leadership and QM bags pre-Mod15. Since then they can only be obtained from the AH - but are essential to upgrading the R5 enchants to R8. Even the Legacy Campaign store starts with R5 Stones/MoPs which assumes you have an R8 enchant already - not the R7s that are included with most Zen purchases or packs.

*If* the R4 Enchant/MoP would be added to the drop/chest/skill node loot table or made available as a reward for shards, then refining would be more reasonable encouraged for all these low level Enchants.

I for one, keep 'assuming/hoping' that the game will provide everything I need to advance without the need to purchase items/VIP to obtain them.

And - 'new' players have no business in end game content or needing appropriate equipment - do the quests/campaigns get the boons, then advance. Viewing enchants through the eyes of someone who has bought their way to the end should not be a factor in this design aspect.

QM bags are still in the game. Invoking coffers drop them too. I get most of my green and blue stuff for upgrading enchantments 100% free to play ways.

VIP can pretty easily be gained from free play, and even easier maintained from free play once u get the first month.

U understand what AD is for right? Its a currency the game gives u, so that u can buy what u need, instead of only giving u the items u need to upgrade.
