Bane not working - not ground target selector

I'm hoping someone can help me figure out what I'm doing wrong. I switch to Justicar, and when I try to use Bane i get to ground target selector. It does nothing leaving me with my two other encounters. Even when at full divinity.

    Never ever had changed a key bind but found on internet that resetting may fix and it did.
