Why shut down servers 5 mins earlier than Admin says?

I saw admin message that after 30 min server will be shut down.
20 mins later I saw that 10 mins left.
But after after exactly 5 mins I was unable to swap toons.

It's not a big problem, but it happens very often.

Either fix admin message (subtract 5 mins from the message) or do what admin message says (shut down in time), so that we could plan our time more carefully.

    it shut down on time.. not early... check your clock... server is set to -8gmt

    I hate paying taxes! Why must I pay thousands of dollars in taxes when everything I buy is taxed anyways!

    we stayed in server and did a countdown. at the enchantment exchanger

    They usually shut down the changing of characters about 3-5 minutes before the server goes down, has been that way for years...

    Ok, maybe game server shut down in time for those who didn't swap toons, but account sever shut down exactly 5 mins earlier.
    That is, I couldn't swap toons after exactly 5 mins from the Admin message saying that 10 mins left (I'm 100% sure about this, and it's not the first time, because I tried to invoke all the toons before shut down).

    Also there is no error on my watch, it shows the time correctly. But it doesn't matter since I compared to the Admin message time.

    Login server goes down before the game server. This keeps you from hopping toons usually from about 10 minutes to the hour.
    I'm not looking for forgiveness, and I'm way past asking permission. Earth just lost her best defender, so we're here to fight. And if you want to stand in our way, we'll fight you too.

    As mentioned earlier, Admin message should be corrected, so that everyone would know when they actually have time to do things (like invoking).

    It's definitely misleading when you see that servers going down in 10 mins, but actually you can't play the game after 5 mins in case you swap toons.

    Admin announcement is for the game server. If you don't hop toons you have until they shut it down to do whatever it is you want to do on that character.

    Who does anything significant so close to shutdown? So you have to wait an hour or two to invoke. Seems like a petty thing to complain about.
