I just came back to the game, got lvl 80, 17k item lvl, went to do a random daily Dungeon for the AD, got one i have never seen before, something about a merchant prince, well, everything was going ok, until a T-Rex appeared that no one could damage, i have 70k+ armor pen and every attack i did dealt no damage at all... all i saw was blue armor icons every time i damaged it, i assumed my damage was being blocked by his armor....but i have 70k+ armor pen...isn't the cap at 68k ? ....how do you kill that?

T-rex have additional damage reduction unafected by armor penetration theres chance to knock him on side with every hit making him vulnerable until he gets back up
weaker groups often just lure him away so engineer pass and they dont have to kill him

Welcome to the wonderful new world of scaling.
There are tons of topics on that in here, but it seems like they are trying to set things right with it, but that might take a while longer...

Really? Because i hit him like a LOT, did not even scratch him and never seen him fall, maybe it was just bad RNG.
But thanks for telling me that, i had no idea there was a chance to knock him down.

Yeah i noticed this, mobs seem to be harder in lvl 70 scaled content than on areas lvl 80, whats up with that?
I hit lvl 80 in barovia, and even at 80 the mobs were very hard, i went to do the under mountain content and it was a piece of cake from start to finish.
And don't even get me started on the Dungeons, the Scaling there is just "omg what the hell is this"?

Heroes of Neverwinter, we killed Demons, Demogorgon, Dragons, Tiamat... but get destroyed by a lvl 70 T-Rex....yeah.

T-Rex used to be killable, although not really worth the fight. Some day they may actually get around to fixing all the things they broke in Mod 16.

The patch notes since Mod 16 dropped have tended to list one or two items, saying pretty much "We fixed this one thing... except, nope, not really. We tried though". Meanwhile STO patch notes are fixing dozens of issues with every patch. Apparently they are barely working on Mod 16 at all.

As mentioned though, the workable strategy is to have one player lure the T-Rex away and run it around, while the other 4 players complete the final mobs and get the engineer to the gate.

I got into another one yesterday, and was like " oh F*ck here we go again" , but it was the left path, so no T-Rex, we got gold..its so unbalanced , one path is so much easier than the other, even here its about RNG, you get the easy path you get gold....

Oh well, its still a fun game, just hope they fix this Scaling madness, i understand the game needed it in Dungeons, but right now its all messed up, you work on your character to feel strong, you get into lvl 70 content and you feel weak as hell.

But to be honest the problem is my character, i only have lvl 11 Bonding stones and a blue companion, giving me HAMSTER stats, im at 60k power, that's very low, wen i get lvl 14 Bondings with a higher lvl companion i know i will melt things, so no problem there :)

Well if the dev had done their job right before it release, they would be doing mod 17 stuff right now. Instead of spending patches after patches to fix things thats had already been released. All I feel is that they are doing things through trial an error. Its not a correct way of doing things and totally unprofessional. It just put them behind schedule all the time. Things need to be release in a perfect state and decision need to be made correctly or else the next mod is gonna be released in a hurry manner as well due to those time spent on the current mod fix. I can forgive a patch or two after the release but anything more than that, its a waste of resources and impede the future mod.

Exactly, and because they are using those resources to fix messes like this they had to remove the foundry, which i actually enjoyed, we had some very creative people doing stuff, it took away the mindless repetitiveness of the game, there was always some new " quest " you could do, no other mmo had this, it was awesome....oh well.
