I've been in Yawning portal for a lil while now. It is abundantly clear from all the shouts that you should make the ME a queue. It would be so much easier.
But they want it to be limited, since you can not get in unless someone has the quest.... how would the queue ensure at least 1 has it since plenty of ppl do more than 3 to farm currency..... they should just remove that as well requiring a quest to get in....
Just make it a queue, put the "quest" rewards in the chest, and limit chest opening to 3 per day (if you really insist on that stupid limit). Allow free exit until past the tuning crystals in case the queue group can't agree on how many they want to run.

I think the limit is dumb myself.... i do not see the changing it likely will cite barovia hunts being done as they did not intend.
I don't see why there couldn't be two variants. Variant 1: What we have now, limited to 3 runs for chest rewards. Variant 2: Queued. No end chest reward, you get what you can from drops only. Maybe have 3 levels of difficulty, with the rewards scaled as such.
1 rune or 3 runes same loot 1 and 2 runes are solo able.
so just go solo with 1 rune, you get exactly the same rewards. Boss drops giving best loot anyway, and the collect magic quest, the chest itself holds only a use full etched rune.

Random Q does crappy matching job. If running w full party, u should premade whenever possible. Dozens of custom channels besides zone which help with quality control. No thanks.

"Full plate and packing steel" in NW since 2013.
There are a few grief-able issues with the current Master Expedition system.
I have been in these pug groups and one time got totally screwed since if you zone into the ME it essentially takes your quest chance. So from this point on you need to succeed or you risk losing 1 chance at a decent reward upon the quest turn in.
Where is the issue? Well I was in one pug run where the player "had to leave" in the middle of the ME and they were the tank and we had played 3 runes. We tried to press on but the party wasn't very skilled or equipped to take on a 3 rune ME run. Once we hit a more challenging room another person bailed leaving just the three of us with no way to get reinforcements.
I can only imagine this from the perspective of a Cleric where the cleric bails during a more challenging ME run. The rest of the party get screwed out of their daily reward and any resonances played are also lost.
Since I have experienced this, I no longer will ever pug a ME. I will gladly wait for members within my alliance who are looking to set up parties for them.
