Remove XP from invoke

namelesshero347namelesshero347 Member Posts: 2,109 Arc User
I am taking my CW through the undermountain campaign and find myself easily out-leveling the content because I don't play as often as I used to. By the time I get around to taking my other four toons into undermountain, they will be level 80 (they are already level 72-73 after 5 days of invoking in mod 16).

I don't see the point of giving XP for invoking. People playing the content already get XP. And getting XP just for invoking probably contributed to the alt armies that are out there.

Then don't invoke those toons. Don't make a suggestion which affects everyone, they may hear you!

Agreed. Just because you don't like something doesn't mean everyone else feels the same. Don't invoke, problem solved.

Also, make sure you don't have any XP bonuses on those toons - remove Azures from utility slots, turn off SH XP Boon, remove inscribed gear (if you have any), etc.

    I aim to misbehave

    +1 to the above responses.

I love these "If i do this specific thing – that is easily avoidable – I get this result I don't like. I want it removed because it inconveniences me" posts.

Don't invoke if you don't want the rewards from it.

It's like complaining that you want them to remove bonus rough because you're capped at 150k and it's doing you no good.

Another "Then don't invoke", I've taken 2 of my 16 through the campaign, and will let the others hit 80 before I take them through.

Most people want the invoke to work the way it is as they don't see that as broken. This is a convenience thing for you based on how it is convenient for you to play the game. Just don't do the action and you won't have to worry about it. If you want to do it that way then I guess you better start playing those other toons through the campaign. Next we will hear that they need to remove rough AD collection from everyone else but you as you need the exchange to go down and your the only one with AD to use in it.

Well, I don't want to pass up the bonus RAD and celestial coins, so I will be doing mod 16 on those toons at level 80.

Thanks for the reminder. I have so many spare azures now that I can't use them on companions. I might as well get to 80 sooner.

XP is not the problem (keep in mind that overflow XP = RAD + RP).
The problem is: scaling/no longer healing companions/long timers on powers/ignorance of game designers (or whoever is in charge).

you're going to find it very very hard to do the campaign as a level 80. it's probably better you don't invoke until you are ready to do the campaign on those toons if that's what you want to eventually do. I just want a toggle that says I want to advance past 70 or no I do not want to advance past 70

Then they won't do the campaign until the scaling is sorted, they will at least have level 80 expedition gear.

I got to level 80 before even starting the campaign. I didn't find it difficult at all to run through the campaign as a level 80. In fact the first map none of the monsters even attack you because of the level separation mechanic. After that they will but I didn't find it any more difficult.
