All of my toons used Lizardfolk Shaman, because it was by far the best healer in the game.
Now he is no longer a healer (he gives some heals once per 5 mins or so, I'm not sure what that is, it's something that heals you over time, it's like like +12000 hp 3 times, but it takes so long time until you get another heal, I mean potions gives much more healing than this).
The huge mass heal he was used to do every 15 secs is completely gone now (it looks like
Marsh Blessing now does like 100 times less healing than before, because it's like 150 instead of 15000, I'm not sure where that comes from, but it's a mass heal so I' assuming it's Marsh Blessing).
I haven't tested other healer companions yet, I'm curious if all the other healer companions are nerfed so hard too?
Comments
The Regeneration stat is gone it seems, so no idea where this regeneration is coming from (I think I've checked everything, nothing should give regeneration).
Prospector companion was summoned during this test, and I wasn't at campfire.
Anyway, it means that Lizardfolk companion gives no heal (except for minor 150-250 ish heals from time to time).
In combat:
Your Battle Medic gives 224 (179) Hit Points to Your Battle Medic with Combat Heal.
Outside of combat:
Your Health Regen gives 15448 (14304) Hit Points to you.
Your Battle Medic gives 8520 Hit Points to Your Battle Medic with Health Regen.
So, yeah, companion heals are rather useless while in combat.
It it really WAI?
If I wanted to play a hardcore MMO, I'd go back to Everquest. There's a reason why I'm here instead.

On the one hand, I don't mind it at all in group content, but running around solo - which is how I spend the bulk of my time - it's really frustrating to get gob smacked with tens of thousands of points worth of damage but only receive occasional heals in the hundreds - most of which come from my horse as if that made any sense.
I remember a comment months back about how the developers didn't like that players had health bars that were either all the way full or all the way empty. Considering the fact that I die in Mod 16 more often than I used to, seems to me that now my health bar in combat's all the way empty more often than full. Was that the goal?
I agree with the developers' decision to dial back companion healing, but it feels like it's been dialed back too much. I hope they consider increasing it a little, say 100 - 200 times more than it currently is. At least for solo play.
