Did the Dev's give any warning that is was coming? I had some bids from when the max was 500 that had been posted for over a month that I had to take down and re-post at 750. Plus it looks like the backlog is already up to 11+ million.

They could make the new max 2000 and the backlog would be right back where it was. Because AD are not worth anything close to that. STO has a decent exchange rate because you can buy important stuff with Dil like keys. Also folks like the fleet bases and dump tons of Dil in them. Players in NWO do not feel the same way about strongholds. Until that make something worth dumping tons of AD into ... the exchange will be a mess.

If you want to fix the backlog, you need to trade your zen for the AD and a lot of it. I guess, I don't mind this increase, as it will lead to players needing more AD to buy 1 zen. This will inflate prices they sell items at in the auction house and in turn this makes all the loot I have stored in my banks very valuable. The item that went for 20K AD in the auction will be 30K AD tomorrow.

In Star Trek Online the Fleet base unlocks ships, etc. Strongholds can't match it ATM. But they could.... instead they just devalue the economy.

It's actually not good. They basically caused overnight inflation and the Zen backlog will go back to where it was. Personally I was sitting in Zen, so at face value I made out, but this is not good for the longevity of the game. They made it harder to farm AD, folks can't even run old dungeons and any runs are a lot slower. This mod doesn't improve the game, it just makes it slower and boring.

The expansion was to disguise the huge money grab and push for cash sales, Undermountain was a distraction.
