Stronghold in M16

As we all know life steal will be gone in mod 16. Thus the temple will be the most useless boon structure in the stronghold.

Are there any plans of providing guilds stuck with useless temples any compensation? We have collected tons of resources which are now wasted.

We will get the option to replace enchantmens and insignias. Why don't we get the same option for the stronghold? It would be fair.

    Lifesteal is replaced by Awareness, in case you didn't already know. Awareness isn't entirely useless, but certainly isn't the most sought after. But when it comes to endgame and capping your stats, Awareness will be lacking and in need of the most help.

    Well, HP seems to be a better choice than awareness. Fact is that guilds may have chosen differently had they known that life steal will be removed. Currently the only option is to destroy the temple and replace it with something else. That hurts.

    Allowing to replace the temple with something else is the same thing as allowing players to replace their enchantments.

    Their history is not good on this, when they took the PvP boon building's IL away there was no choice to swap it.

    But, there's already a HP boon. Obviously they are replacing the boons stats with one of the new stats. You may not have chosen this new stat over HP but it wasn't an option. And you previously had an option toi have both HP and lifesteal boons so to argue that you may have chosen differently is inconsequential since you chose not have HP before.

    I get that it's wasted resources but who's to stop someone else coming in and saying "oh well why wasn't it replaced with [insert random stat] instead? i would have taken that before instead of this!"

    The only logical to do is to consistently replace lifesteal across the board with the same new stat.

    What's wrong with that argument is that they are now offering to replace enchantments. The same arguments can be made for them. You could have chosen something else instead of life steal and recovery enchants, like power and HP.

    But since Cryptic sees an issue with enchants why don't they see it with life steal and the temple? Same thing.

    Because players probably don't equate their personal effort in building multiple enchantments as the same as making SH donations to get a boon up.

    Your argument also lacks weight in that they aren't offering to allow you to exchange your gears for a different piece since maybe you wouldn't have grabbed that lifesteal gear if you knew it was going away.

    They cherrypick what they'll allow you to exchange. And are you sure the exchange vendor still works the same? New patch notes have interesting feedback regarding the vendor.
