Purple Mementos disappear from event vendor after Illusionist's Mask refined beyond blue

The description for the mementos reads (approximately) as follows:

"Additional mementos are available from the masquerade vendor once your mask has been refined to rare quality"

It turns out that the mementos are indeed available once your mask reaches blue quality... but they vanish from the vendor once you upgrade to purple. :( I can't imagine this is intentional?

    If I recall correctly from last year, once you hit purple, you have to refine it like normal, with RP?

    Still needs the Mementos as reagents.

    Same happened to me. Was expecting to farm all the needed stuff to get the new mask, but when I was about to change reagents for mementos it was a no go :s
    I think someone mistakenly used the == operator instead of >= :#

    I spent over an hour talking to every NPC I could think of relating to the event. I traveled repeatedly to every Zone related to the event or that I traveled to hunting candy. Until I saw this thread I thought that I just forgot which NPC traded the things.

    The "workaround" for this issue, as others have noted elsewhere, is to simply purchase all the reagents you require while the artifact is rare quality (i.e. extra 2 of both Mask and Leira) so that you have what you need once it comes time to upgrade from purple to orange. The empowered artifact is bound to account once purchased (and BtC on equip), so an alt can always learn from a main's mistakes and pass the arti over.

    Still, would be great to have the memetos available when the normal mask exceeds rare quality!

    You can get one of each daily doing the quests for the event.

    is this a bug or intentional? Anyone hear? Just doesn't seem like that is coded correctly.
