Random Queues and AFKers

This happens often enough that I think it needs to be addressed. You queue for something, you and 3 other people click Yes and then you wait and wait until it times out, then the process repeats. That 5th person, who queued and then went AFK, just wasted 4 people's time.

My proposal is that they get some kind of queue timeout, perhaps 30 minutes or more, just to get the point across - you need to unqueue if you intend to step away for a few minutes.

This, and the multiple declines, should go away when the current glitch is fixed. The impatient players keeps queuing and declining until they give up after a minute or two, the smarter ones pretend to AFK.

I agree with @malheur2080. I'm sick of running the same two or three things all the time. In RLQ, it's always either Master of the Hunt, Dread Legion, or Illusionist's Gambit. In RIQ, it's always Folly, PoM, or Tiamat. If it weren't for the AD, I would just give up on random queues altogether. It's boring and/or a pain in the butt, and I'm just sick of it. It's so bad that I can usually guess which one it is, even without having looked at the queue list when that bug was not yet patched.

Randomness is overrated. I want my RAD as fast as possible.

    In RLQ, I'd take a 3/4 minute MotH/DL run over a 10+ minute end-to-end dungeon sprint anytime.

In RIQ, I'd take a 7-minute single-phase tiamat or nDemo over everything else

The more these runs show up, the happier I am

This glitch was the only thing what kept the randomqueue random. Today, the first day i tested the RIQ and the randomness there.

    ~snip~

How i remember, the intension to introduce the randomqueue system was to give newer player the chance to run other dungeons beside EtoS, but this fails, if the lower player feed the queue all day long with skirmishes. Sorry but another year feeding the dungeonlist with my tank isn't okay for me and i mind move to another worlds, instead of playing something i don't want to.

Okay, now this list is just you random pugging into the system?

What other random factors may have impacted your results? Players that are directly queuing for content. This last week I spent quite a bit of time on 2 characters spamming Tiamat runs. 24 more bodies needed. The system will tap anyone else queuing for Tiamat, but a lot of those bodies will have come random queue entries.

Going in random you are surrendering your right to choose destination for rAD and seals and in exchange you are supporting those that directly queued for content.
I'm not looking for forgiveness, and I'm way past asking permission. Earth just lost her best defender, so we're here to fight. And if you want to stand in our way, we'll fight you too.

This glitch was the only thing what kept the randomqueue random.

On the contrary, even people who weren't using the glitch benefited. While all the declines were annoying, it only took one guy looking to keep everyone else from getting something other than MotH/DL

But this results in the same status, which we got before all this random queues and the developer can delete all lowlevel and T1-1.5 dungeons, because they won't pop up anyway anymore.
    Stop. Giving. Them. IDEAS!!!

If you are talking about CTA, just solo it. It takes the same time, fot this CTA at least, no grief, no idiot pugs, no afkers, more medallions. There's no way you can kick an afker in CTA, they are over before the kick timer completes.

I agree. For those wanting true randomness - be careful what you wish for. I'm fine with RLQ being a predictable skirmish or shorter dungeon like Cloak Tower. The alternative would be getting more CofK or Spellplague.

I get what you guys are saying. For me, I prefer a little variety. Even steak is boring if you eat it every day.

I too enjoy a bit of variety in the RIQ - its nice to run Kessells, Castle Never, Valindras Tower etc. Love the randomness :)

Okay, i think i get it, what you trying to say in a roundabout way.
Don't queue into any randoms without a full premade group, if you expect real randomness.

That's a great idea! Except for the fact that you can only queue for the RLQ with three players and then you still end up in Master of the Hunt, Illusionist's Gambit, or Dread Legion. Oh, and if you queue for the RIQ, then you can only queue with five players .... and you still end up in one of the 10 player dungeons. Believe me, I've tried this. So you can just ride out on your high horse the same way you came in.
