This happens often enough that I think it needs to be addressed. You queue for something, you and 3 other people click Yes and then you wait and wait until it times out, then the process repeats. That 5th person, who queued and then went AFK, just wasted 4 people's time.
My proposal is that they get some kind of queue timeout, perhaps 30 minutes or more, just to get the point across - you need to unqueue if you intend to step away for a few minutes.

In RLQ, I'd take a 3/4 minute MotH/DL run over a 10+ minute end-to-end dungeon sprint anytime.
In RIQ, I'd take a 7-minute single-phase tiamat or nDemo over everything else
The more these runs show up, the happier I am
What other random factors may have impacted your results? Players that are directly queuing for content. This last week I spent quite a bit of time on 2 characters spamming Tiamat runs. 24 more bodies needed. The system will tap anyone else queuing for Tiamat, but a lot of those bodies will have come random queue entries.
Going in random you are surrendering your right to choose destination for rAD and seals and in exchange you are supporting those that directly queued for content.
