It would be nice to have some additional information to determine who I want to keep on my friends list.
In a lot of cases, I group with someone, we friend each other, then several months later I'm going
through the list and saying - who was this again? When I think of it, I'll add a little note about the
person, but sometimes forget.
So, some additional data points:
1. Last Login - so I can know if this person is still actively playing.
2. Last Time Grouped - the last time we grouped together.
3. Last Time Communicated - the last time he sent me a tell.
4. Character Name - that I last grouped with. ( I find it easier to remember a character rather than a handle )

In regards to managing your friends list, I'm pretty much stingy when it comes to adding friends. I don't randomly add people that I've run with 1-2 times. I've got to run with people a few times and I only add if/when I decide it's someone I would want to play with regularly. Almost 4 years later and I rarely have to delete people from my friends list.
1. Last Login - completely worthless for me since if you're on my friends list I know I've either played with you recently or I can delete you
2. Last Time Grouped - see 1
3. Last Time Communicated - see 1
4. Character Name - see 1
Look at that. All the issues easily solved by not spamming friend requests nonstop for years. It's a friends list not an acquaintances list.
