The unfairness of the RNG

I've played Neverwinter for pretty much 3.5 years, and in that time I've had to work and work to get what I have. Don't get me wrong, I've paid quite a bit to but Zen/Keys/Scrolls etc but with the past few releases Storm King's Thunder, The Cloaked Ascendancy and now Jungles of Chult I've noticed that most other people are so much luckier than I am.
Some recent examples from the latest mod:

I've run over 60 Tomb of the Nine God and received just one Ultimate Mark, I mostly seem to walk away with a Sapphire or two and maybe a blood ruby. Others who have run half the amount to me have found 3 to 4 Ultimate Marks.

A friend has performed 4 hunts and received 2 +5 Rings, I've so far completed 26 of the same hunt (Batiri) and the best I have gotten was some crappy +3 Ring of Salvage.

I farmed the Batiri camp and when the Batiri master finally appears he doesn't even drop the Batiri mask, this happened twice to me today.

I believe that there should be a certain level of player frustration to keep them engaged, if it was too easy then everyone would be bored and seek an new challenge. This, however, is a frustration that is too much. Arc clearly want to have people playing their game but effort should equal reward. At the very least have the RNG start with a smaller chance that can be increased by the amount of time that has been played then reset to a lower score again when a Legendary/Ultimate/+5 etc has been achieved. This is effort and reward, it should not be some RNG that other players seem to massively benefit from yet loyal players who have been here for a long time cannot seem to manage.

In my opinion things need to change, the unfairness of the RNG is sometimes too much for ARC to reasonable expect the players to accept.

Randomness is unfair. Don't quite know what to think about that.

I get what he's saying though. It's frustrating sometimes, and everybody has that lucky friend that is just blessed by the rng gods.

I think they could put a ticker in that after a certain number of runs you're guaranteed a rare item or some such. Like after 100 runs or something...

I've been the victim of running dungeons with someone who was salvaging +5 rings every other day, putting them in the coffer, and yet I have gotten 2 in 2 years... I still have +4's on myself!!
