So the first thing I noticed is you can turn lvl 70 green items into 50 rp. Cool. However why can't I turn lvl 70 blue or purple items into RP anymore?

Is this why I can't Refine my blue Cloak of the Protector artifact? I just switch a new artifact into the slow expecting to be able to refine the Cloak into it and was really disappointed that it isn't an option.

Under the new system you cannot refine any item into another and no more doubling values when using the same type of items, since RP is just RP now. However, if it was an item that was allowed to do this before, you can convert that item into RP and use that RP to refine it or any other item.
I think the bigger issue is them advertising new and improved refinement changes, but doesn't mention all the stuff they nerf in the background.
I enjoy a lot of things with the new refinement system. That being said they told us that you could no longer feed artifact gear or artifacts into other artifacts. But to make up for this, they have reduced the RP needed by a substantial amount. Super, I like when they actually try and make up the loses we take.
What I really dislike, is them not mentioning them reducing drops on various refinement items from what it used to. We all know that the utility enchantments such as Dragon Hoards, Fey Blessing and Quartermasters have internal cooldown. Peace be with it, you can just change toon and run some stuff on those. After a few hours it resets, at least it seems so in my experience.
But after mod12b and refinement changes, drop rate on all of those, + wanderers and normal green equipment drops are heavily reduced. The amount of stuff one get is so much less than before. So what does it help that they reduce the amount needed for upgrading gear, if the drops are so much lower...?
It doesn't help the matter that the new event which is suppose to replace 2 x RP is utter and complete HAMSTER. The new, and only event now to make RP points or money now, is the 2 x enchantments. A small tip on that note, I've been told it applies to leadership bags now. So make sure you hoard those like a Yogi the bear before winter.
The amount of Spoils of War bags I am collecting now is the lowest amount I've ever seen. And as for the Fey enchantments... If I am lucky I get 4 drops within 1 hour of killing stuff. So don't spend your breath on those anymore.

I don't even want to start. I mean, to spend all those Astral Diamonds. And for what? To get back to how strong I was before they nerfed the bondings... And yes, it is a nerf. Regardless of what they say, this is a ploy to wrist more money out of us. I am not spending 1 cent of real money on this game, but only use in game currency. And I would suggest everyone else does the same. Until they actually start caring about the game and their customers, I don't see why we should pay them.
