Hey guys i just read about this system.
What about we get a system thats use smart looting for legendary .
Basically u get it only once but u have a higher chance of getting it ?
im talking about the legendary rings since its bind on pick character why dont we increse the chances for us to get those but we only get it once so cryptic wouldnt say its unfair to people hahaha ;)) i dont know the downside for this but hopefully we can have something similar in the future . cheers pls comment what u think about it ??     Depends on which rings you're talking about. Underdark rings are BtA. Not BtC.

    I don't even know there is a legendary ring that is not bound to account.

    So, to clarify, you propose that:

    Say I go to FBI, complete FBI and open the chest, and I win a "Legendary Ring pack" (example name).

    Upon opening it, I am allowed to pick any of the Greater Ostorian Rings, and whatever I pick has a Bind on Account tag.

    The catch is that once I opened this pack on that particular character, my character is unable to win this pack ever again.

    This can occur for each place which has a legendary ring, such as a pack for Normal Demogorgon, a pack for Epic Demogorgon, a pack for FBI, a pack for eSP, a pack for Svardborg, etc.

    In exchange for this "once per character" limitation, the pack has a "pity" system attached to it: say the pack has an initial 1% drop rate. If you don't get it on a run, the drop rate increases by 1%, up to a guaranteed pack upon the 100th run of the instance.

    If this is your proposed idea, then... sort of?

    I am all for the "pick a ring" concept and a proposed pity system.
    But once per character? I can't say if that will be a good or bad idea.

    Regardless of how you intend to impliment it, I would suggest clearly writing what your proposed system is.

    Your idea may be interesting, but I think it took the other posters a while to figure out what your suggestion was.

    I didn't get it before you posted it..maybe it's time for my morning coffee though.

    I was always for "pick your legendary" option. I have quite good luck for legendaries so far (I average 1 each month..like +5 Dod, +5 Demogorgon and so on) but I don't have luck for the type (oh the double defense or those with useless bonuses). Also 'pity' system while rewarding those more lucky would be fair for everyone. When I heard of people who run msva/demo/whatever 1000th times without getting one then it's insane. Same would apply for hunts where I don't have any luck so far.

    And of course let's not limit it to 1 per char. If I like to play one class in end game mostly then I wouldn't want it to 'suffer' 0 odds for seconds etc legendary drop.

    my main ARGUMENT is to get the LEGENDARY RING with higher chances of getting it
    but you can only get 1 though of the type? or maybe a legendary ring ? maybe pop up windows with choices once u hit the jackpot ?? so you can decide whichever legendary ur getting because ur only gettin 1 per char or per account of the same kind or type? maybe i dont know theres more that can do here

    they will never raise the drop chance for the legendary rings, the want you to die trying to get them, xD, it took me 3 new modules after underdark release to get +5 brutality +5 rising power from demogorgon(normal and master) on my alt dc, and thats how bad the drop chances are, some have the stamina to grind the hell for the rings but i get so bored that i simply get satisfied with +4 ones, plus you cant expect that much from the game team to do it, they can charm you with good posts. my biggest expectation is to not be able to pick every single item i need from the floor, the loot sytem to pick item is so old, i just want to walk over it and it auto picks the item, grind is already a pain in the a.s.s. wasting more time picking stuff is another pain..

    And once you get the ring, the biggest reason most people run certain dungeons/skirms, you're going to continue to run the content because you love it?

    I wouldn't mind picking a ring when I win. But why even redesign the system. Why not just...improve the droprate. More people get rings. More people rewarded. Fewer people leaving in frustration. Maybe.

    Not to mention, I think most people don't care about most of the rings and are only interested in 1-2 of them. So the same 2-3 tops would be picked. Seems like another idea would be to eliminate the trashy rings they design.

    Also, I have two rings on my toon. I have a companion with 3 ring slots. You're telling me now I'm limited to one greater ring?

    I'm feeling like you're idea punishes players more than it helps them.

    Well if u read the idea its the most basic i didnt add any design yet. We can have up to 2 plus 5 rings cuz we have 2 ring slots... It definitely helps people to get plus 5 rings and yeah ur right . thats the main reason to run dungeons .. I just feel bad i havent gottwn any plus 5 rings yet lol just my luck lol

    Many people uses 5 rings in their character. I know I do. Just saying.

    The only thing worse than never getting a +5 ring is always getting +5s you don't want.

    how about "auto-collect" the loots and overflow while in dungeons, once we finished and we can clean up inventory, it is tiresome to stop and use ID scrolls and convert as we go, and other players dont want to wait.
    or How about remove those trash drops and replace as coins or crafter resources, since those kits are useless and take up slots, make them go automatic collected.
    it is less messy and improve the servers and latency.
    only drops would be elite items and stackable like a mini-crates, open them like parcel boxes for random gems or refine stones just like Dreadring version.

    How about an upgrade system on rings, make it similar to the shards -> enchantments. Do ring epic, trial or skirmish get your 4th ring +3 refine that to +4 or something. Make it so that 2 +1 = +2, 3 +2 = +3, 4 +3 = +4, 5 +4 = +5. Once refined first time the ring is bound to account. This IMO would make doing the epic and skirmishes, and demo much more appealing. Knowing that your working towards your +5, and that the keys you spend are worthwhile.

    And while were on this idea, how about same thing with companion gear from IG ?? IG is difficult enough without having to groan about the wasted time getting that +1 from Gold IG

    AND STACK RINGS if you do this.

    you have the auto identify now on inv and most of it can be converted to rp pool

    Thats going to be introduced to mod 13 .. Somewhat but not exactly .... Chain of scales search it on preview ;)) now u dont need to chase plus 5 rings ;))

    Are you saying that we have to REFINE rings in the next mod??? I certainly hope not.

    refine rings to make better ones rather than hoping for that less than 1% drop rate of +5s, much better idea

    Thats going to be introduced to mod 13 .. Somewhat but not exactly .... Chain of scales search it on preview ;)) now u dont need to chase plus 5 rings ;))
