Hey guys i just read about this system.
What about we get a system thats use smart looting for legendary .
Basically u get it only once but u have a higher chance of getting it ?
im talking about the legendary rings since its bind on pick character why dont we increse the chances for us to get those but we only get it once so cryptic wouldnt say its unfair to people hahaha
) i dont know the downside for this but hopefully we can have something similar in the future . cheers pls comment what u think about it ?? About this system

Say I go to FBI, complete FBI and open the chest, and I win a "Legendary Ring pack" (example name).
Upon opening it, I am allowed to pick any of the Greater Ostorian Rings, and whatever I pick has a Bind on Account tag.
The catch is that once I opened this pack on that particular character, my character is unable to win this pack ever again.
This can occur for each place which has a legendary ring, such as a pack for Normal Demogorgon, a pack for Epic Demogorgon, a pack for FBI, a pack for eSP, a pack for Svardborg, etc.
In exchange for this "once per character" limitation, the pack has a "pity" system attached to it: say the pack has an initial 1% drop rate. If you don't get it on a run, the drop rate increases by 1%, up to a guaranteed pack upon the 100th run of the instance.

If this is your proposed idea, then... sort of?
I am all for the "pick a ring" concept and a proposed pity system.
But once per character? I can't say if that will be a good or bad idea.
Regardless of how you intend to impliment it, I would suggest clearly writing what your proposed system is.
Your idea may be interesting, but I think it took the other posters a while to figure out what your suggestion was.
I was always for "pick your legendary" option. I have quite good luck for legendaries so far (I average 1 each month..like +5 Dod, +5 Demogorgon and so on) but I don't have luck for the type (oh the double defense or those with useless bonuses). Also 'pity' system while rewarding those more lucky would be fair for everyone. When I heard of people who run msva/demo/whatever 1000th times without getting one then it's insane. Same would apply for hunts where I don't have any luck so far.
And of course let's not limit it to 1 per char. If I like to play one class in end game mostly then I wouldn't want it to 'suffer' 0 odds for seconds etc legendary drop.
I wouldn't mind picking a ring when I win. But why even redesign the system. Why not just...improve the droprate. More people get rings. More people rewarded. Fewer people leaving in frustration. Maybe.
Not to mention, I think most people don't care about most of the rings and are only interested in 1-2 of them. So the same 2-3 tops would be picked. Seems like another idea would be to eliminate the trashy rings they design.
Also, I have two rings on my toon. I have a companion with 3 ring slots. You're telling me now I'm limited to one greater ring?
I'm feeling like you're idea punishes players more than it helps them.
or How about remove those trash drops and replace as coins or crafter resources, since those kits are useless and take up slots, make them go automatic collected.
it is less messy and improve the servers and latency.
only drops would be elite items and stackable like a mini-crates, open them like parcel boxes for random gems or refine stones just like Dreadring version.
And while were on this idea, how about same thing with companion gear from IG ?? IG is difficult enough without having to groan about the wasted time getting that +1 from Gold IG
AND STACK RINGS if you do this.
