The Chains of Virtue alliance was created between Affinity and Button Mashers on January 6th out of the hope that we could have an active community that helps and supports all members within the alliance. Our goal is to offer all members of the alliance a fun and friendly environment where no one feels excluded or belittled, regardless of item level or experience.

We are looking for guilds of all levels who are active and enjoy helping one another. Our members do not ask for specific Item Levels or "HDPS'/"VHDPS" when running dungeons together, however warmly accept anyone who asks for an invite. We want to be a community that helps one another and grows together, any type of trash-talking or insults between members will not be tolerated. We aim to help one another upgrade guilds, complete content together, and enjoy the game together as a community.

We currently have 12 guilds in our alliance and 2,600+ members that run everything from Dragonflight and Stronghold Siege to MSVA/T9G/CoDG together. We have players who have just started the game and players who have been on the game for the last 2-3 years all working together in our community. Once our alliance is full, we will begin to rotate the helm position and the sword positions in hopes that all guilds who are still building get a chance to use those discounts to make upgrading their stronghold slightly easier, and the GH20s will be helping where needed. Affinity and Button Mashers also have an agreement to keep all profession vendors and the mysterious merchant up each week, so there will never be a stress on other guilds in the alliance to make these structures.

Our alliance also utilizes a Discord channel to help share information about character builds, dungeons, campaigns, and more. Discord is an awesome tool for our alliance to share information [without important pieces getting lost] and feel closer together. We can communicate about events going on within the alliance and keep members involved with the game even if they are unable to be online at the time.

Hey everyone;

Just to elaborate on what was posted above I'm going to start off with something about what our Alliance doesn't have first then get into what we do have.

No end game ego-maniacs: Yes we understand that Neverwinter is a game about the grind, loot and character progression. However there was a time when we all just started out and we wanted to create an atmosphere that encourages character growth at the players pace rather than force them into something.

Like Nicole said, you will never see a VHDPS or IL callouts in our alliance chats as we feel it creates an atmosphere of have and have-nots and unfairly discriminates against players. We want to take players under our wings, show them the ropes and help them get better rather than having them stagnate in a position for too long and losing interest and eventually leaving the game.

Queue Up: We have constant call outs for dungeons and if you can get in the queue you can go. All positions are filled on a first come first serve basis we don't "cherry pick" or use chat to make it look like we're calling out and choose our buddies. We think that Dungeons and Raids are a great way for players to learn mechanics, get gear and more importantly get familiar with their characters and as such can be great teaching tools to newer and up and coming players.

Alliance Environment: A guild's success is the Alliances' success, whether it's stuffing coffers with much needed materials or currency to get them over a needed threshold, or helping leaders plot their next move. We want to see guilds grow and flourish and will not kick them to the curb if they're doing their hardest and showing they want to get better and improve.

The Chains of Virtue Alliance is a great place to be if you believe in the following:
Everyone deserves a chance to succeed.
Everyone deserves a fair shot at running content.
Everyone has a voice.
Everyone should be respected.
Everyone should enjoy playing the game.
Everyone should be treated as you would like to be treated.
These beliefs are what this alliance was founded on.
There is no one better than another. The rules are fair and simple to following. The requirements are minimal and are there just to ensure activity is a priority.
We thrive on activity and community and the interaction with each other. Come be a part of something great. A “link” in the Chains of Virtue.
