Mass Vitriol Extraction Bug

So I noticed the other day that one of my alchemists wasn't collecting Vitriol as quickly as he should have for his mastercraft advancement. I started watching closely and have noticed that sometimes Mass Vitriol Extraction tasks don't add any of it to the player inventory. I've confirmed on a couple of test runs that the failure happens at least on the two highest level. (purple/orange, red/emerald). I'm not sure if the lower two do the same as I tend not to watch these things too closely. Anyway, there is a verifiable bug on the crafting task not returning anything on some outings. Perhaps someone who likes to compile things could provide a percentage of times that this happens. Definitely annoying.
