Has anyone tried this companion in end game content? If so, any thoughts on it's usefulness? I'm bored of my con artist lol!

I tried it some time ago and a guild mate did run ATC. The debuff was inferior to con artist.

Yeah it's less of a buff and not AOE but would you think it's decent enough? How's it's survivability compared to con? I'm just tired of seeing nothin but com artists and fire archons everywhere lol

I have one active but not summoned, he is a pleasure to have on when fighting dragons. I have run him summoned way back and he was OK, if he gets through his scroll incantation he has a fair amount of survivability and he doubles in size which is cool I don't think he does much as far as damage or debuff but a fun comp with some ok benefits.

It's a great companion, the problem is getting it though...

I agree that I also get tired of seeing con artists and fire archons everywhere. That being the case, go back to first principles as to why you play this game (for fun, for those that have forgotten) and pick a companion that seems right for you in terms of either immersion or just for their coolness factor.

The drop rate is insanely low and it has issues. It's a defender pet, so while immune to AOE attacks at Epic it will not increase your Crit/Power/Recovery/Arp at all at rank 30 as Leader/Controller and Striker pets do. It also has 2 defense slots, so you lose power from bondings, making it less attractive to some builds (am thinking OP personally).

Also it's debuff is only 4% compared with 10% (I think) with other comon companions in use.

On the plus side, despite being a Defender Pet, it has no Hard Taunt, which is nice. It looks amazing.

If it does drop, boss in WoD will drop a BtA blue key, however once you use that key that companion is BtC the moment it hits your inventory, so feel free to knock out the WoD Lairs with any character you can and just give the key to who you'd prefer to use it.

Once you have the companion in your inventory, the cage with the Repentant Cultist loses it's sparklies, I have NO IDEA if this means the game prevents boss from dropping the key to unlock his cage.

I've had him for quite awhile, I just haven't bothered to rank him up and try him out. I main an ACDC so since damage isn't my main role and the power from companions and bondings doesn't work for powersharing anyway, I'm almost thinking the defensive slots are more useful. I'm IL 17.2k so I can afford to play around a bit with stats and not screw myself TOO bad lol! The debuff is really the main argument against it I think...but he does LOOK cool! :)
