My xmas wish in the preview pvp thread ..was a post from the devs lol instead the stocking was filled with coal ...and not the Coalescent kind either lol
we asked for solo Q we got
we asked for dual spec or loadouts and we got it pvp / pve
we asked for proper item level / gear score representation pvp / pve got it
we asked for tenacity to be removed from gear so anything can be used got it
we asked that some of the bugs in formulas to tenacity regarding crits be adjusted in pvp ..got it
we asked that drains be removed and adjust ..finally got that after many many builds
we asked that ring of ambush be adjusted pve / pve .... got that after a while
we asked that showdow clad armor be fixed in pvp got that
we asked that potions not be able to be stacked to infinity effecting balance in pvp and pve got that
we asked for a leader board fix ...that was partially successful
and bugfix month which affected pvp and pve
we did get a new pvp set for mod12b
but then things get muddled after that
then we get this new cc resist system that no one asked for..with no time to test it and adjust based on our feedback /
and a bad match making system
and no way to kick players from matches
and items the go right thru the new pvp cc resist system
maps that still have bugs since beta of players getting into spawn camp
companion cause crazy lag on the stronghold siege map
and mediocre pvp rewards at best
and no proper Gg rewards
and further making things annoying for pve players "forcing them" to do pvp for stronghold resources
we have been asking for comprehensive balance of classes independent of pve so all can be fun...got nothing but small tweeks to 1-2 classes each mod that results is ineffectual in this "long term". ridiculous shortsighted imo
These above 2 things are 1000000000000 times (forgot some zeros probablyy) more important than any of the "positives" you list above, and even more important than all of them together. Fix these 2 and all the smaller issues that u write r more trivial than ever.
But if u and anyone else wants to say differently and r satisfied with status quo, good for u. gg enjoy pvp. *crickets* not only on pvp forum but mainly will be in game..
reducing potion stacking is a reduction in overall gear score
average guilds level catching to thier boons over a couple years also reduces the gap
alot of players dont like the thought of removing things they worked "hard for" in these forums fyi
you can find plenty of my posts advocating class balances and independent function of powers for pvp
dev always grab the lowest hanging fruit problems first
whether they be more important in some eyes or not it is not like the devs did nothing and i was not going/getting into another class balance type thread going on for hundreds of pages .... that would require millions of hours of dev resources which aint gonna happen
who said i was satisfied with the status quo ..did you actually read the second half of my post bra ?

P.S you are also forgetting one thing even if the gear was equalised the builds are not pvp vs pve build unless nubs are given default pvp power loadouts as well .. cause if not it may as well be like they were playing someone over geared with thier crummy pve spec despite item level being identical ..and they will still cry no fair foul pay to win utterances
i said mediocre pvp rewards to be generous so that people second and third what i say so i dont appear to be as biased I was waiting for there counter arguments saying there are no ...to little rewards which you are correct
even if i want it to happen it still requires resources and wishful thinking .. no our arguments are not different at all
do i want it to happen yes do i think it will happen no
equalisation or not guild boons should give no more then say a 10-15% advantage max in pvp and or bis gear
if not there is no intensive to build or grind for new stuff or support the game ..
and or have harsh diminishing returns on stats as already been suggested .. so what you work for you have a slight advantage not a mega advantage
having a 10-15% advantage against people with lets say nothing on / basic gear on still means 2 or 3 of them can kill you
/ take you out which would be fair for you and for them
there should be a pvp tutorial and or and extra loadout tab that already has 1 or 2 pvp ready loadout done for the new player
