Op sigil as an active

Just wondering if anyone has any thoughts on using the OP sigil rather than the DC as your main artifact. I find I have a pretty comfortable amount of AP gain so thinking I might be better off switching artifacts to something that provides a boost in other areas. I know the OP sigil USED to proc gift of haste so if it still does then there would still be AP to be gained in addition to the defense and healing it provides but first of all I don't know it it does actually still proc haste and secondly I'd like opinions on wether the other benefits of the OP sigil are even worth looking at. It's been sitting in my bank since back when "haste clerics" were all the rage lol :)

I see little point in the OP sigil, as for everything the OP Sigil provides, the DC does better without needing to slot anything wacky.
    • If you're a DO, placing HG and regularDG on teammates gives them way more than the 20% the OP Sigil provides. Anything missing from the DR cap will be covered if you run Shepherd's.
    • If you're an AC, you slot in Shepherds and you've placed everyone at the DR cap.
    • Placing any variation of DG on teammates or Aseal on targets provides much better healing than the OP Sigil.
    • You already place Haste if you use any variation of DG
If you're a DC, the best way to keep your teammates alive is to make them kill everything quickly.

To that end, I would rather pick a debuff artifact like Black Dragon, Lantern, or Charm of the Serpent. If you often run with the same people, you could pick a Wheel of Elements to place on DPS while DPS is running Soul Sight Crystal.

Excellent input :) Do you feel another debuff would be helpful though? My main is an ACDC...forgot to mention that..I have the legendary trex mount and use the con artist as an active for their respective buffs so would another dbuff of some sort be overkill? I'm pretty much just tryin to min/max a bit right now as I'm 17k and pretty well covered in all the important areas but if I can bring a tiny bit more to the table I will..

There is no such thing as overkill.

There is only "open fire", "kill all the things", and "send Janne all your Ultimate Enchanting Stones".
