Valindra's Set Bonus

Can someone please explain how does the set bonus for Valindra works please? So I am trying a new build for my human TR. Since the TR is known as a Striker/Controller I wanted to see if I could do a control build to make the stun, daze and slow last longer. I am going to respec my class and give myself more WIS I didn't build that in the original build I was going straight DPS. I want to try a DPS, Control, Recovery build. I thought that Valindra's set bonus was 15% but I don't see it in my stats am I missing something? When I look at my stats I only have 8% control bonus. My control bonus stat looks like this - Control Bonus 1,030(0 + 1,030) Modified by items 1,030. Contributes to Crowd Control Strength 8%

Boons I am using for control bonus:
Tranny of Dragons - Dragons Grip 12.5%
The Maze Engine - Baleful Clutch 10%

If my math is correct I should have about 37.5% control bonus.

Any help would be greatly appreciate it.

    I am a cw and I had the same issues as you. Someone once explained to me that the bonus itself is not additive, so if you have 8% without the bonus, you don't get 23% with the bonus.

    The other thing is that it only is a bonus to what you have. So for example if your control is 1 point then you would get 8% to that one point.

    You also have to consider that most mobs are cc immune and that with mod 12b you will have massive diminishing returns in pvp as well. So your money for respec might be worth being spent on other character improvements.

    Haven't seen a cw with the set in ages, most like to use the belt to have extra critical from cha but nothing more.

    Different sources of control bonus are multiplicative with each other and the tooltip you have for control bonus is completely useless anyhow, so you may as well ignore it.

    Say you have a control effect with a base duration of 4 seconds, you have 8% control bonus from attributes, 10% from the stat and 30% from the valindra set (the tooltip is incorrect, it actually gives twice the intended value) the duration of the control is:

    4*1.08*1.1*1.3 = 6.1776 seconds.

    Keep in mind however, this is calculating before control resistance is applied.

    Thanks for the information, I was trying to see if I could get the control effect to last longer. When rerolling my race the max wis I could get for a TR was 10 for a human. I see this is going to be alot of work and testing to get at least a decent build. I appreciate the help.

    You're probably better going with high recovery for quicker re-application of stuns.
