Bind on Pickup Items

Customer service told me I should post this here for discussion and hopeful (I doubt they'll read this) the developers will do something about it. On my Paladin and my Guardian Fighter, I received the two web circlets for the Control Wizard. Imagine my surprise when it said "Bind on Pickup."

So I contacted CS to see if they could move one of them to my Drow Control Wizard to use with her new Drow web armor piece. Playing Blade & Soul or SWTOR they'd do one move of this sort regardless of BoP. I'm told by CS, 'sorry, can't do that because it is BoP.' Right, somehow I have a hard time believing they cannot do this. It is more like, they don't want to do it.

I'm told the standard line, 'we forwarded this on to the developers for them to look at and doing something about it.' In other words, sorry, but we can't be bothered and the devs aren't interested in doing anything but we'll give you some hope.'

Items like this should be BoA or bind on account. Time and again, items drop that would be great to use for one of your alts but it is BoP. The only option you have is to vendor it since you cannot use it.

It's time for the developers to be proactive and fix things of this nature so it can be used across the account for alts. If they want to make it BoE after the play uses it, so be it. Just make item drops from these bosses found in missions, dungeons, and skirmishes BoA so they can be passed on to a player's alt if they want to use it so.

The Circlet of Webs and the GF Lolth armor are probably the 2 most annoying of these items as they offer fairly unique looks. (Lolth armor look is now somewhat replicated by Lifesilk) They date back to thd development era when bind to account was nonexistent or at least ultra rare. Sadly details like these are never high on the Dev's priority list.

There is a workaround that you can use although it is grindy and relies on RNG. Collect the Symbol of Lolth bounty markers and trade them in for the equipment bag from the bounty vendor. Those have a chance of dropping unique lair items.

Alternatively, you can get someone in zone to share the Night Raid quest (IRRC) and run the lair on your CW. This will likely take multiple attempts as well. If possible, find someone whose Alt can take the quest without ever running it, for infinite shares.

Thank you for those tips. I'll see if I can do one or both. I know had this come up in Blade & Soul or SWTOR, customer service would have made a one time move on an item. I know, I've had it done several times. However, it appears customer service for this company doesn't seem to want to be bothered with such an issue. I believe this will limit my interaction with them from this point on. They don't want to be bothered with my or any other person's request of this nature, why should I bother with them. CS can sure make a company look bad, that's for sure.

@pitshade I tried both of your suggestion. The insignias netted me nothing. However, one of my guild mates was about to do it and I got the 'Cornet of Lolth!' Woohoo!

Any weapons from the Dread Legion not for your class are BtC. Which seem to be far more common than the weapon FOR your class...

Don't expect much help from support , All they ever tell me is to post issues in forums . I wanted to transfer items from a glitched Char to my new Char , But they claimed they could not help lol

You can also buy the zone bounty markers on AH. At the bottom of the list Miscellaneous > Bounty
