Attack stance glitch

  My character keeps going into attack stance a lot , Then I have to stop moving to get out of attack stance again , & Sometimes I get error messages telling me I need to equip a weapon . It's getting a little annoying at this point

  If your controllers are as old as mine, that maybe it. On one of my two controllers encounter buttons A/B/X/Y no longer work reliably so I have to press them a couple of time to make sure they trigger. And on another movement stick developed a dent over time so it sometimes gets stuck.
  
  Which is why I can't wait for my pre-ordered Xbox One X to arrive.

  sometimes if an enemy has become stuck in the terrain this can happen..
  
  if it isn't an issue and you are able to ,change instance or try moving a distance away from where it is happening if the attack stance just isn't going away.
