Executioner's Black Attire - Is this worth it? (Screenshot)

It appears to be giving closer to 5% WEAPON damage than just flat damage. This is 1 split strike, obviously a small sample size and it'll scale but it seems pretty worthless to me. Am I missing something?

is a bug, if you use a weapon damage based enchant like feytouch your black attire will only do 5% of the feytouch damage.
unslot your weapon enchantment and try again

Yep, that's it. Knew I wasn't crazy. Shouldn't it proc on everything though? Even with the enchant removed it's only proc'ing on the initial hit. (not piercing, blade storm, etc)

As an aside, now that devs have built out this mechanic using mob facing away from us, which works with melee attacks, rather than us attacking towards a mob's back, which does not work with melee attacks, can we please get an update to Seeker's Vengeance so that it works as intended?

I use Trans Dread + Executioner's Black Attire in both PvE and PvP now. I will replace with Psion's Shroud though if I ever get it to drop for the 50k HP.

Unfortunately the damage is minimal like the original poster stated. It is 54 damage most of the time and very rarely 1k damage. However the stats on the EBA Armour are very good anyway and it is worth equipping it.

I use 3 Prestige in the other slots with a PvP Ring as well to make up for the Tenacity loss from equipping the Amour.

@wdj40, We had some good games yesterday. Look at my activity feed from last night. I was running only one Prestige and two rings, 1.5k tenacity with the goal of over 40K pwr to get more from my weapenchant. Awesome results. I will mix up stats again and test more.

Ran with another HR, Combat, doing the same with 1.5k tenacity and his burst damage was insane.

What do you like about your hybrid?

Yeah we had some very good games

Near the end of the day though we ran in to a couple of good groups which surprised me somewhat lol. Had some good games today with you too... Funny how many games we got paired up together even though we did not plan it.... Fighting against you is fun too when the teams are even

Anyhoo my Hybrid build is pretty decent and kills heck of a lot more than pure Trapper. I had a few games today queuing on my own where I got 20-30 kills, one of the games I was against a pre-made and beat them with a PUG ha ha... Another game though a pre-made smashed me to bits.

I took a screenshot of the Feats etc and posted in the Neverwinter Club. It has 30k Power and 9k Crit with 5k Arm Pen and Trans Dread, I put 20 points into the Combat Tree for Piercing Blades and then in the Trapper Tree you get Swiftness of the Fox and 1 point in Thorned Roots. So you get Piercing Blades with Swiftness of the Fox

Then its Longstriders > Constricting > CoA > Disrupting > Forest Ghost with Crushing Roots and Lone Wolf (totalling 50% base Deflect). The Ranged side is powerful due to the Arm Pen + Dread and the Melee side is powerful due to Piercing Blades. AP gain is not so good as no Master Trapper, but this is combatted by slotting the Snail Mount for 25% AP gain when using a Daily.

For equipment I use Prestige Helm, Gloves and Boots with Executions Black Attire Armour and 1 Tenacity Ring. Then the Dex Belt + Neck combo.

I can beat most players apart the BiS players (as I am not BiS myself anyway), the ones who give me a hard time are the BiS GF's and BiS TR's... TR just permastun for hours at a time and GF is only difficult if they land their knockdown attack on me. Other than that the Lion Mount Combat Power is my worst enemy, so many times I am just about to kill someone and they pull that piece of rubbish out on me.

Oh and sometimes a Combat HR will give me a decent battle too. Usually the ones with Boar Charge are the most difficult to deal with. Knockdowns in PvP are very hard to deal with against a well equipped player.

It sucks but a lot of people I lose to will pull out the Lion Mounts Combat Power to knock me down (there is no defence against it and is the worst thing ever to be added to this game), then followed up by a 2nd knockdown then stunned and stunned or knockdown etc etc etc.

From my experience, testing on dummies i had a bit more than 3% of my damage composed by black attire damage, so i assume some stuff won't have impact. On dungeon i took a log only and it was 0.5% of my damage...but...i did not check for boon ttiggering aid. Still, i see rex ammiculum (that's the name right?) easily passing the attire.

I can't say I am a fan of that build. If that is what you ran against me, it did not seem to do well. Especially since I only had 1.5k tenacity. You lost your health faster or my bonuses quickly countered. I recall trying that build in the past and most recently when M10 dropped, it seems to be missing something.

I dunno, depends which game you mean I screenshotted a few and think it did well. I am not saying it is the best build or most effective, but in the solo queue it works very well.

I really struggle to test much in the normal queue as I just run into pre-mades and it is no fun at all.

Your links only show you had a decent supporting team. But what happened when you faced me alone? I recall a game where your team formed a line preventing anyone to pass. But when I launched my attack from your back side you and another wiped. But hey, there will soon be 1v1 queueing. Would love to see those clips.

I would encourage everyone to try your current build. It is something everyone should experience.

I am not a big fan of the Trapper capstone but it binds everything together wonderfully for that tree. As does the cap for Combat. What you're attempting is a BiS task and most likely a BiS toon will revert back to what works best.

And why aren't you in a LGPG/LGPG2 pre-made? I know of many in your guild that are very good.

My screenshots show that I did rather well even though you said that I did not fare well against you. My memory of those battles are completely different from yours it would seem. I honestly have no idea what you are talking about when you say my group formed a line etc, and yes I wipe quite a lot as I am not BiS or anywhere near it really. The 1 vs 1 thing you mentioned though is pointless... just 1 player having the Lion Mount will beat me 90% of the time... 1 vs 1 is not really a game of skill it is just down to who can stun/knockdown the other more.

I just go into PvP and play, I dont try to act cool or do silly things etc. If my team is rubbish I will still just keep trying and get killed over and over, it makes no difference to me if I die or stay alive but I will contribute to the team more than I value my own score etc.

Unfortunately I do no own a Mic (3 of mine have died and I have not replaced the last one) so I have not even tried to get into a pre-made group. I feel I would be more of a liability without a mic. I am not so sure that many LGPG players even play PvP much any more, most of the top players have moved on from the game or are in their own Guilds/friends Guilds now.

Last but not least I am not a PvP player, I have never confessed to being any good at it and I feel I am just an average player in that arena (not having all the BiS stuff really hurts when trying to be good)... I specialise in PvE and even with Loadouts I am more focused and better all round in PvE

Ha, ok, you did well supporting your team. Have to factor in our roots/dots linger and often times earn the kill although is was another toon delivering the bulk of the damage. I never value my kills, my assists mean more. I am running to stun, reduce enemy damage output and their damage resistance.

You may not have noticed. I was using SW for close quarters with high ArP and PF with high pwr taking advantage of the pwr scaling damage from the weapenchant. All boiled down to what group I was with. Many of the peeps in my queue had the same (1.5K) or less tenacity as me.

I have vids, we squared off many times and the results were the same. Most often it was someone stepping in to finish you but I still earned the kill.

As for the lion, if I noticed you getting the upper hand on a team mate, you were smacked with it.

And there is skill involved, 1 v 1/5 v 5 does boil down to what you slot. Standing idle is no skill.

Don't back pedal from your PvP value, you do well in a group setting. Don't really need a MIC, just pay attention to the flow. I use the standard Xbox mic, cheap! Heck, I am in a French guild. Most of what I hear sounds like an amazing menu for a French restaurant.

You can always queue with me...
