The Netherese Arcanist companion bonus is +1%/2%/3% damage against enemies that are not facing you. What exactly does "facing you" mean in the context of this game. If the tank has some enemy engaging them and you stand say 20 degrees from the line between the tank and the enemy, does that count as facing or not, or does one have to directly behind them to count as not facing ?
Also, I came across a bug report about the Netherese Arcanist that says that its supposed to be only companion with 80' range (while the others are 50') but does nothing beyond 30'. Is it true that this is the only companion that is supposed have 80' range and is the bug also true, that it does not do this.

Bonus damage is a bit odd. It's not adding damage to your powers directly but is adding an additional damage called "Active bonus" as percent of your power's damage. It's working on DoTs too. When you apply DoT ahead of the target and then go behind bonus starts triggering. AB damage is unaffected by buffs and debuffs and isn't triggering Aura of Courage, Creeping Death and so on. It's proccing much worse if there are too many triggers in a small period of time. Like with Creeping Death ticks. The more damage triggers per 1 second the more "missing" procs of Active bonus.
