Hey all,
I'm currently playing as a Devoted Cleric, and whilst I'm very much a noob, I do think I have decent potential. Now, currently I only play on weekends but on occasion that will change. I'm under no illusion that progression will be slow, but I'm ok with that.
Now, I've just completed the Neverdeath quests and read that farming the dragon for the dragonbone weapons would be a good start. Is this true or for my level (31 or 34, I can't exactly remember) is there a better route to take?
I've also noticed I can do feats and take a path, Divine Oracle or Anointed Champion. Which of these would be best? For the most part I will be doing things solo which I'm fine with, but long term I'm hoping to be able to help be a good healer for a group.
On the whole, I'm a noob and don't have a whole lot of time on my hands, so any tips or links to a good guide for me would be absolutely fantastic.
Thanks all!

Advice for leveling a Dc is going to change, the new loadouts that went live Tuesday may change the old logic of level Righteous and then respec to whatever you really want. Playing with it, it seems you can do one loadout Annointed and one Divine and eliminate the need to spec.
If you plan to do group, you will want annointed champion for public groups. Most will insist on it. In private groups or guilds, either can work. DO gives you more damage options and is my preference for solo play.
Dragon bone are cheaper than Mulhorand, so if you're short on AD they are a worthwhile option that will keep you in good shape until lvl 60.
Regarding builds, take a read through the following thread. There was some good discussion about loadout options with consideration to role in party and available gear.

It's a little more geared towards lvl 70, but most of the advice applies to leveling too I think.

Another question would be about Astral Diamonds. Right now, due to limited play time it seems pointless buying VIP when I'm playing on weekends only. However, I do want to start racking up the AD where possible. I'm level 56, and currently do the daily X2 Skirmish and Dungeons. Are there any other ways to speed up the amount I'm getting or should I focus on that when I reach level 70 for the end game stuff?
It's a tougher ask if you don't get a chance to play every day, but even dropping in to refresh them for five minutes a day will speed up getting those slots opened, and running all nine.
When you get there, there are all sorts of things that people will buy on the Auction House for AD. You'll start small at first, but you'll probably start an alt character eventually, and they will help.
VIP gives bonuses to earned AD, and when you hit L70 you will soon be earning loot from dungeons and skirmishes that you can salvage for AD.
Invoking as often as possible will build a pool of bonus AD which increase the number of earned AD by 50% till it runs out, but you can add to the pool daily. (This doesn't affect AD you get from selling on the AH.)
So essentially, things you can create using professions, can be sold in the auction house for a bit of AD?
That's the toughest one to crack, and without all nine slots you'll be at it for months.
Personally, I start with Jewel crafting cos its ultimately useful to all classes and still (IMO) the best way to gear most companions until you get lucky in Illusionist Gambit.
Then the relevant armour and weapon professions for that character. These are quick, (relatively, speaking) and easy to level up. When you have all three you'll probably be able to unlock all 9 slots.
Next I (personally, some would skip this) go for alchemy, which can be hit and miss as there's a random element to the progression. But it offers the most generic saleable items right from the off. If you get lucky it can be the fastest to level up.
I chose to wait till I had my second character before taking on the grind that is Leadership, cos that's ALL you'll be doing for a LONG time. And yeah, those first dozen or so levels belie what is to come as you work up to the twenties...
Don't get me wrong, Leadership is probably the best long term, but when people advise new players, "Oh, you've GOT to get Leadership..." they usually say that forgetting how bloody hard it is to get with only 6 or 7 slots on a new character.
ETA:
Just for some context. My newest character is 132 days old. I completed Jewelcrafting, Platesmithing, and Weaponsmithing on him (GWF) Having skipped Alchemy (I've enough doing it already) he will finally reach L24 Leadership at some point later this week... then just another 40000 xp to 25.
But... I play every day, and re up professions three or four times a day...
So I'll go full DPS then for the first loadout. Should I be looking for Power and Crit chance when picking gear to wear.
Seems like I've got a lot to learn about this game.

In regards to epic dungeons, which are best suited for a new level 70? I've read around that it's common players that aren't deemed good enough are often kicked by other players. I don't have a problem entirely with that, but would rather I saved myself and others the trouble and work towards being good enough before doing them.

Also, if I were to get VIP, I would be given a key per day to open a lockbox. However, if I only logged in during the weekends, an I only going to get 2 keys per week or do you get them regardless if you log in everyday or not?
Even if you can't find the time, there are those of us who don't see VIP as the "key per day" feature, but can't live without all the actual benefits you get from it.
Summon Travel signpost, and summon mailbox, alone save me enough time in game to warrant having it, along with having forgotten what an injury is, and never having to look at another portable altar.
I play six characters, and R12 VIP, so the 15% bonus earned astral diamonds offsets a lot of the cost of VIP, Bonus hit points and XP... ID scrolls, and dungeon keys...
Yeah... even if you don't get 7 lockbox keys a week, I'd say its a sound investment if you have decided the game is something you want to get into.
Well eventually I will be playing everyday, but at the moment I can't do it as I'm not with my Xbox during the week. I'll leave off it at the moment, pick it up when I'm playing more.
Now I just have to figure out what to do with this other sigil.
You cannot give it to another character ( and you don't need to as all can claim one) and you cannot refine it into another artifact. It's useless and just taking up an inventory slot.
Which elemental weapon is the best one to get? I have reached level 70 and see the quest for them all. I want to make sure I grind for the best one.
What should I prioritise? I'm finding it a bit hectic at the moment.
Underdark, in particular, is very beneficial to new 70's. Run the Demonic encounters and the 2 skirmishes as often as you can. The Drowcraft armor you can purchase with the currency earned will benefit you until you are ready to tackle the last areas.
Don't even think about Storm King's Thunder (Don't spend much effort trying to get the everfrost equipment, just the boons) and The Cloaked Ascendancy (You want The Fey/Nostura's weapons) until you are comfortable completing content in IWD.
Am I safe running the skirmishes? My worry is that being new to it all, I may not be a very good team player and as such wouldn't wanna hold everyone up lol. I would also need to put together a supportive build I can switch to because at the moment I only have my solo dps build.
You should be fine in Prophecy, many run it in afk mode anyway. Throne is a bit trickier until you learn the mechanics, but most groups don't really care about the DC. As long as they see you using your dailies, hallowed ground, Annointed Army, as often as you can, they'll usually be happy.
