Release Notes

Content and Environment
General
  • Mount Hotenow: Venting the Underneath: Players should now consistently be able to loot the crate of explosives.
  • Shroud of Souls: Morlanth no longer incorrectly resets when the player uses specific powers in her encounter.
  • The achievement, "The Ascended," now works as expected.
  • Various minor text fixes have been made throughout the game.

Items and Economy
General
  • Heart of the Red Dragon: This Artifact now explicitly states in its tooltip that it cannot be used to feed other Artifacts.
  • Stronghold Guild Hall: Certain decorations no longer completely disappear upon being replaced, and instead correctly return to the Warehouse.
Zen Market
  • Knox's Adventurer Recruitment Order: The tooltips in the Character Select / Character Creation screen now properly state the new Item Level of 4700.
  • Players who purchased the Knight of the Feywild Pack, Guardian of Neverwinter Pack, and/or Hero of the North Pack can now consistently reclaim the pack contents via the Reward Claims Agent.
  • Shadow Wolf: This mount can now properly and consistently be reclaimed at any time if it had been purchased during the Call to Arms: Pit Fight event.
  • Shadow Wolf: This mount can now be discarded, but as it cannot be reclaimed on the same character, it is not recommended to do so unless the character already has a Shadow Wolf mount in the stable.

Can we just take the Heart of the Red Dragon out of the loot tables? For the people who have the Dragonborn Pack its worthless.

Edit: Or can there be a logic where if you have the pack, take it out of the loot tables, otherwise leave it in?

@terramak is it possible to get back the toggle to let my cpu manage the rendering and not my gpu please. i knoow that would fix my fps problems. 32mb vram with 1.6gb shared memory on 8gb ram 2.3ghz intel 3000hd but my cpu was doing fine running before the changes might seems like nothing based on other players but if its time to say get a higher end pc i dont mind hearing it from you devs, for waiting for hope that i can play like normal again seems like a waste of time for me and the dev team to a solution of this problem. supporting high and low end systems is hard to do for any development team,

huh Heart of the red dragon needs to be just like all the rest of the artifacts since it drops from lock boxes it should be able to be used as a feeder just like everything else since the heart of the red dragon doesn't just come from Dragonborn pack anymore, or it is simply a useless artifact if it cannot be used for refinement, so yea make it usable for refinement or put it back in the dragonborn pack where it came from lol, no one wants a cruddy artifact they cant use to refine something else..... so we really don't see your point in making it that way, waste of your time and ours by doing this when it should have been in the first place, so you wasted peoples ad and their time with having such a issue present.

I run Red heart on multiple support characters.

Although I agree with your comment that it would have been better to make the dung-drop hearts refineable, this is better than nothing.

And pls don't remove red dragon hearts (as if they would).

lol 32mb of vram with 1.6gb shared lolol yea naw bro go buy a new computer with a real gaming card in it, sounds like your video card wasn't ment to handle any of that to begin with with 32mb of VRAM lol you never want your motherboard sharing Memory for your graphics is just nasty, best recommendation here its a newer graphics card or new computer all together................... good laugh lol 32mb of VRAM LOLOLOL you should have like a minimum of 2gb of ram on the graphics card itself

I recommend finding a gaming computer with atleast a EVGA gtx 1050 2gb gaming card in it minimum

He's just using Intel onboard graphics (that HD3000 gave it away).

Which honestly, for a game this old built on an engine from the early '00s, SHOULD be enough. But at times it's not.

Sure, you need a beefy dedicated graphics card to run this game at high resolution, high texture, super shadows, derp derp derp. But a low rez low quality config shouldn't be this demanding...

I recommend finding a gaming computer with atleast a EVGA gtx 1050 2gb gaming card in it minimum, also a 2.3 ghz intel sucks for todays gaming standards, make sure you got something atleast 3 ghz or more on your cpu, and 8 to 16gb of memory on board

and from the sounds of things the reason your CPU is having to do most of the work is because the graphics card your using is a onboard standard HAMSTER version of a real gaming card, since its onboard its going to use system memory and the cpu to do most of the work, by having a separate gaming card it stops a lot of that, cpu/gpu onboard combos suck big time........

This game runs perfectly on any of the nvidia 730/740 chipsets. Those are the cards that will run without extra power demands on even a 300 watts PSU. I even got a major performance increase after the switch to dx 11 only. I have a 740 with 1gig of vram and a 730 with 4gigs of vram. Both have had 0 issues with this game at desktop resolution high end graphics settings.

Sorry, @terramak but that's not the case - it is still broken, just in a different way. See my latest post in https://arcgames.com/en/forums/neverwinter/#/discussion/1232105/is-the-the-ascended-achievement-working

@terramak Are you aware the Bronzewood enchantment at transcendent (maybe other ranks as well) is mostly likely bugged?

    > So, there is not an additional debuff and there is not a 16% damage increase. Don't ask me why.

Hey @dmcewen I think you already know it, anyway it's fixed now it on preview.
  • dmcewendmcewen Member Posts: 279 Arc User
@michela123 I did see it, thank you. While I have the expert here, what do you think about it now that it works per the tooltip? It looks like a better version of the frost.

The 16% debuff works only for yourself, so it's pointless if you are a support class. I think there are also better options for personal dps. Actually, it seems a bit buggy at the moment. Here apparently the 16% debuff works for the ally with some hits (the player in the logs is the one not using bronzewood):

Do you think that this is also related to entity spells? DC entity spells are like chains, DL, or Flame Strike.

I'd like to try to categorize this a little better so we can add it to the WE stacking bugs thread and call a little more attention to the systematic bugginess associated with entity interactions.

My vague theory is: entity spells break all sorts of ownership criteria for the purposes of determining stacking. Sometimes they act like independent entities, sometimes they inherit some behaviors from their owner, and sometimes they appear to allow effects that belong to be owner to transfer to a different owner (perhaps the next person who hits the target, or perhaps some even more convoluted interaction).
