Stronghold levelling after update.

Our Stronghold is currently GH2. We just built the market place so have lumber yard and farm all level 1.

I was under the impression that I could go to GH3 but it seems to have changed. Now it is saying we need 4 level 1 structures. The options available to me are all poor...4 PvP structures, temp structures requiring metal and stone that we don't have and can't produce as we don't and can't make a quarry.

I have put the target as l2 farm but feel there should be another option.

Am I missing something or is it now harder to get guilds going before you can make temp structures?

Hope the community or a dev can help

The guild hall counts as a structure so make sure you have the mine, the farm and the lumberyard, you will need all those anyway

We don't have the mine and there's no option to make one for us which is the problem

You sure you finished the structures and have the resources, the count looks correct to me:

You need 4 buildings, and you have 1. Guild hall 2. Farm 3. Market 4. Lumber Yard
If nothing helps, try asking everyone to leave the SH map for 15 minutes or so that the instance will reset, and then try again.

Yes it's been 24 hours since we built the mkt place. I'm under the impression they have made some changes to the strongholds. I'll post some screenshots tomorrow.

You currently have the SH, Market, Lumber Yard and Farm? That should be enough. It's possible you have a bug that prevents you from setting the target - I've heard about this recently from a guild in our alliance.

If you get enough resources to do the upgrade you should hopefully be able set it once ready. There's a possibility the targeting will fix itself with the server reset tomorrow.

I hope so - at least we can just keep pumping stuff into the coffer and see what happens.

Did your alliance guildies manage to sort it out btw?

Well it happened twice, the first guild fixed it by setting the target via the SH manager guy. that didn't work on the 2nd guild and it's just happened in the last couple of days so they too are hoping the tuesday reset will fix it.

We had that same bug - we have three leaders and two of us couldn't set the goal but the third could. The next time it happened again but it was a different one of us that had to set the goal. I'm not sure what would happen if there was only one leader.

My guild had the same issue. I was going to post about this but finally figured it out. We are GH2 with farm, lumber and Market all at rank 1. After reading the same information over and over for hours I realized it was right in front of me. GH rank 2 only increases the coffer limit for resources. A new plot doesn't open until you are GH3. Set the goal to GH rank 3 to unlock the quarry then build the quarry and upgrade the market after. If any devs are reading this I suggest maybe adding some kind of better explanation of how to advance the stronghold structures at least for founders to know. I also suggest adding some way to purchase resources (like stone and metal) either via npc with in game currency or via the zen market. Or add stone/metal vouchers to the enemy loot tables. Also, increase some voucher values. I will be making a video on my Livestream channel later today explaining the process.

Stone, metal etc vouchers are in the loot table from Dragonflight. Even if you can only kill one dragon, it's a good way to boost the coffer for small guilds. If you are in an alliance you should be able to kill more and get more vouchers.

And how many players are recommended for Dragonflight event? We are a pretty small guild and might not have enough members to even attempt it at the moment.

A small guild would have trouble depending on the IL of your characters. I'm still getting used to the new IL... We could take down red dragon pretty regularly with about 10ish people at item level 2500. Now that we are much higher 5 of us took down black by ourselves. Some people solo them.

Dragonflight will get you vouchers - also get people playing in the stronghold because they do drop off mobs in the heroic encounters. Or you can just buy a lot of them off of the AH.

As said by Ravenskya, It will depend on ilvl and class. Especially for low numbers, you will need a good tank and good DC. Run the free one that happens every two hours to practice and learn. You will get a good idea of the number of players you need fighting only the Red Dragon. Look at the remaining health if you fail. Half health would mean you need to double the number, 1/4 health left 25% more payers, 3/4 health left would be 75% more players. These are only approximations, but will help until you are able to judge for your self. You may find that the same 15 players who could not kill the dragon 2 weeks ago, can after they learn to take out the empowers and work together.

But, really you should join an alliance, there are all types out there. Small, social, endgame etc, find one that fits and you will find more numbers to help with DF.

As a DC i believe the opposite is true for DF. You need good dps. Any DC can throw out empowered BtS, and most if not all tanks can maintain aggro. It's really up to the dps to burn dragons so you can move on to the next one. Id suggest start with one dragon during free df. If you see it going down in less than a minute then you can split your group into 2 for the next df.
