Loadouts on PS4 - Issue

First off I want to give props to the devs to bringing us loadouts. Day one of playing this game I felt it was missing given that most classes can play more than one type of build. This is an awesome add by the devs.

Second, I like how it is restricted at campfires and in safe areas like PE and Guild Stronghold when in the building area.

What I don't like is that once you save a loadout you can easily save over it with another loadout by pressing Triangle.

I did this and had to use a respect token to fix it. Now I'm careful with loadouts but I should not have to deal with the probably I may accidentally hit triangle.

For me, once a loadout is set, the only way you should be able to overwrite is if you have a respect token and used that prior. Otherwise the overwrite feature should be shut off.

Another thing that would be nice, the ability to turn off and on the alliance tag by our own free will and not deal with title changes to make sure we have the right tag on our characters.

Agreed. Also include mount picks with loadouts.

Mount picks, are you referring to Mount Equipped Power and Mount Insignia bonus selection?

They tried to add other stuff into the loadout system, but it was too difficult to get in with the time / resources they had.

In my opinion, there are 4 major elements missing:
    1. Enchantments - should be reworked so that they bind to the gear slot and not the piece of gear and then should be included in the loadouts.
    2. Companions - both summoned and active should be included in the loadouts.
    3. Mount stables - insignia and mount selections should be included in the loadouts. If it's too difficult, then at least the 5 active mounts should be included.
    4. Artifact main hand and off hand powers - since these change with builds pretty often, they should also be included.
Back to the OP: I don't use the "manage loadouts" UI anymore, because it's too risky to screw something up. I just use the drop-down to pick loadouts. Not sure if it's the same mechanic on PS4 as PC.

Oh gosh, on console the only way to switch loadouts is through the Manage Loadouts UI?

    My condolences...

The 5 Mounts for insignia bonuses. They do not change for me. I have to manually change them during loadouts changes every time.

As for enchantments, runestones, and insignias - they all should be left as is, meaning if it is in one build and you want it in another build on another piece of gear, another companion piece of gear or on another mount you have to go out and buy, grind, or make it to that level. What you are asking for is a bit more complex than what we have, way more complex. In a few other games I have played with loadouts, enchantments, were not interchangable, you always had to have a separate enchantment for each piece of gear if you wanted to change your gear with your loadout.

Since Insignia and Enchantments on the companion gear is attached to it, these should follow the same logic as I stated above.

As for Mount Stables, Mount Equipped Power, Combat power, and Summoned/Active Companion I do agree those should changed based on the loadout.

I do like what NW has here and it is a way for them to earn a bit more revenue for players wanting BiS for two gear sets and those players should A deal or B, find a way to make the gear work in both loadouts. I dealt with it in other games and managed just fine. I also was BiS in other games for my character and it took time and money to achieve those results, so I see no issues here if you want BiS for both loadouts.

Like I stated in another thread, make your primary loadout as effective as possible and your off loadout be good enough to do what it is designed to do. My CW is mainly a DPS and a buffer if needed. I can buff/debuff on my CW but he is setup more as a DPS and is way more effective in that role. But if the group does not need my damage or struggles a bit, the buffing setup I have has helped some groups out.

I know once my primary loadout is set with artifacts, etc...I will start to work on my buffing loadout; however, I run three character and I like all three to be close to each other in IL, so each one first needs their primary loadout setup so I can get the max out of them for what each is designed to do in the game.
