Pretty new to the game.
Been wandering for about a month now, and currently have a Lvl42 Drow SW as my Main and only character. Just a bit confused by the sheer number of different currencies in the game, but I think I'll get a handle on it with time.
Starting the Dragons Campaign. I didn't know that the "Helping the Harpers" 3x Quest required you to do three (3) 20 hour waits. That seems a bit... excessive to me. The timer should have wound down to completion on my third completion by the time I get home from work today. Definitely looking forward to fully going through this Campaign.
Though I am excited to get to lvl60 or 70. I know I don't really need to worry much about Armor/Weapons until I hit end-game levels (veteran of many MMO's over the last 20+ years), but I'm kind of excited to see how I can maximize my build once I get there.
Mostly I'm just exploring and learning. Not sure if I should upgrade my Healer companion or not. I'm nowhere near 50k in Astral Diamonds. I also run a few dungeons per day, but it seems like only one dungeon run pays out AD's? Bug maybe?
After blindly training stuff up in the Professions/Crafting, someone finally let me in the loop that Artificing is used to create Implements for my Scourge Warlock. Wish I had known that earlier... (maybe the Devs could add in a tool-tip that says what each Profession creates which items?)
Other than that, I'm enjoying a D&D themed proper MMORPG.
But as I get closer to "end-game" levels, I find myself wondering if I made the right choices with upgrading my enchantment runes. Wondering if I'm utilizing my Companions properly. Skill choices and point expenditures (though the game seems to prompt one to place points in a little bit of everything in order to hit the next "Tier" of Skills).
But even if I make(or have already made) a mistake that is irrevocable with my Skills, I wonder if I can rectify or live with those mistakes. I don't relish the idea of doing the level grind again to fix any mistakes I may make...
But I'm enjoying the game so far. It's a fun romp in an MMO that I am coming to enjoy greatly. Looking forward to finishing out the level grind to see what kind of SW I can run with at end-game.
Lasombra rule the Shadows. Obtenebration is our birthright. We are the voice behind the Throne, and all Kindred and Kine will bow to us, whether they know it or not.

Companion use changes at end game. As a SW you wont need (or want) your healing companion, as you can gain more precious DPS stats from other companions that you will want to level up... but gaining XP for your companions is easy, so don't sweat it, just don't waste your upgrade tokens/AD on upgrading them to the next tier until you know what you want (Acquire three high ranked bonding stones).

I stopped believing this morning; Journey is going to be PISSED.
You can use that token to essentially "rebuild" the character by way of skills, powers, feats, paragon path and so on. Don't rush into it, (but you can buy more tokens from the Zen store if you muck up, and there'll probably be a chance for a free one over the Jubilee event.) there are many online "builds" that high end players have put up for people to use.
Look at some of them for ideas.
A lot just say. "You need this, this and this..." but don't explain how or why stuff compliments other stuff. So unless you have a LOT of AD to burn you won't know what order to get stuff.
There are some truly exceptional online builds, that may, or may not, be as good in game as any other, but they go into detail about why a certain companion compliments a specific feat selection, or how combining insignia with enchantments a certain way helps a specific character build.
If you know why stuff works, then you are better placed to make your own tweaks to suit your budget and experience.
Keep experimenting, and when someone tells you, "this is how you do it" its worth getting a second opinion.
