Oddities of lockbox contents.

First off let me say that I enjoy the game enough to really not complain about things (in fact I think this might be the first time), but this situation is kind of odd.

Secondly let me say that I'm a VIP, so my keys are a daily perk. Even if the lockbox keys were removed from the VIP packages I'd stay VIP since the other perks are worth it. My issue is with the lockbox's that are opened using the daily perk keys.

Issue:
lately (as is the last week or so) I have noticed that the content pulls from the lockboxes have been very lacking in quality.

Todays pull was:
3 Lesser Resonance Stones (green quality in case some don't know)
1 Cube of Augmentation
3 Tarmalune Trade Bars

This was the weakest of the pulls this week, but I have noticed that the quality has gone down daily. It's as if I'm using a 4 point die to roll for a 20 point die reward.

I know some are going to say; "Working as intended", but is it?


Has anyone else noticed this drop in quality of lockbox rewards lately?
If you have feel free to post what your pulls were, and if you're VIP or not (I think it might be interesting to know this)

    It's all RNG.

    Well if nobody else thinks that the numbers are off, then ok. It's just that it seems that this particular Lockbox has better odds at pulling green level items that can be grabbed by just running missions, rather than special item that would be expected from a lockbox.

    same deal as running a 2 hour dungeon or getting an overflow reward for 3 x r5 enchants you could pick up running two mobs in shara

    yeh it's insulting and disappointing but they can't suddenly become more generous because ;bots

    they tried that after the key bug fix and it lasted about 3 days

    The reasons bots are still around include the very fact that the RNG is as terrible as it is. As long as people get frustrated and are willing to pay some 3rd party group for the items they are sick of fighting a poor RNG for, there will always be a business for bots.

    Solutions have been put forth that would make bots obsolete, yet Cryptic ignores its player-base. It is a mindset that they know better than people who aren't being paid to do their job. They recently announced they have 15 million players, can they really believe the few employees they have know better than 15 million people who have played these games since some of them were in kindergarten?

    The most simple solution would be to place legendary items on the trade bar store. This would mean ANYONE who spends enough on keys has the ability to get an item which all the small chances while opening boxes. If they were to take a month and look at all these rewards (xp overflow, lock boxes, dungeon runs, etc.) and FIX them to make them worth player's time and money, they would improve the game considerably, while at the same time making bots/3rd party groups less effective.

    i have had vip and have seen my items i get go downhill get nothing god from enchanted leys anymore helk even did the thing for the doohickey and worked HAMSTER off and spent tons of ad to make sure got it done because 3 days isnt enough to do all this stuff required for it and what did i get few ward stones and some junk HAMSTER no mount no nothing except a freaking gizmo back sigh if gonna give alot of junk for time spent and ad spent then at least give us more time to try to have more than 1 chance at it before the event ends or give us a better chance at the hammer if dont gt the mount just my 2 cents

    that'd be a lovely pull, i keep getting 2 green mount insignias, it's terrible.

    Companies understand one language only: money. Start canceling VIP status due to key reward lameness (letting them know why you did) and you will see how fast things get "fixed".

    Except that only the person (and maybe 3 of their friends) will do so. Quite a lot of people see value in the VIP program as it is. So all you will be doing is keeping 1000 (or 850) Zen and losing QoL benefits, and the AD from sub-pack sales (which can *often* exceed the investment you started with).
