I'm really excited about loadouts but I had a few questions if anyone has an answer or maybe even a guess.
1) I understand you can switch gear with loadouts, my question is do you have to carry the gear on your character. With limited bag space this will cause a problem. It would be nice if you could keep it in your bank but I just don't think keeping it in your bank will work. Wondering if they could give us an extra slot like they did with useful items to keep our bond equipment in if we do need to have it on our character.
2) Any idea how much extra loadouts will cost on zen market?

2) 500 zen a piece (and you can use coupons). You get your 1st loadout slot for free.
Is it just gear? Or can you swap power setups too?
I read a while back that you might be able to change even stuff like feats... which I hope isn't correct, cos that's past loudout territory and into "two characters for the price of one.'
As far as I'm concerned loudouts should just be a quick function to swap situational gear and power set ups, including stuff like active companions and active mount powers, that you can already do, but that are just a pain in the HAMSTER to muck about doing mid game. Rather than , "this is my buff loudout, wait a sec' while I switch to dps loudout with different chosen powers and feats"
Basically as a DC you can change from DO to AC and i see that as a huge plus, personally i main a dc and will keep 3 spare legendary rings in my inventory with r12 raidants for when i change to ac and also my alt is a cw who can now be full support or full dps on the fly and chnage between MOF and SS
It's the absolute antithesis of Role playing.
My Cleric is going for a Buff/Debuff and solo PvE loadouts. Where my SW will be DPS, PvP, and Buff/Heal
But as to "why not" be able to turn your character into a completely different character entirely to suit every situation?
Like I said, it removes the need to think. You don't need to consider how you grow your character, (if that word even applies any more). You don't need to worry about which powers you rank up to 4 cos as long as you've got a few up there, you can just switch them about.
In actual "Role playing" games the essence of a character is the choices you make as a player. The trade offs you make to be not so great at one thing so you can excel at another.
If all you're bothered about is being super powerful for the least amount of effort, of course this is 20 birthdays and Christmases rolled into one power gamers package deal.
I just hope they intend to change the description of the game to "inspired by the D&D game setting" rather than suggesting there is any deeper connection.
I've read pretty much every rule book that game has released, and have yet to find the section that says;
"If you pay the Dungeon Master five dollars, he will give you a blank character sheet. As long as you keep the same name, race and base class you can spend all earned XP again, switching whatever you want and... here's the good bit... you get to KEEP the original character sheet and switch between them whenever you want"
And there's a reason that it doesn't exist in any proper role playing game ever... (.. well maybe in some whacko Steve Jackson game from the late 80s... but otherwise)... and that's cos its HAMSTER.
The irony is, that you STILL have to HAMSTER about switching mounts and companions.
