I no longer run dungeons anymore.

The viewpoint of either a filthy casual or someone burntout on the lack of good drops?

I play 4 to 8 hours daily but I gave up on the grind since RNG does not favor me.
(zero plus 5 brutality, zero plus 5 rising power equals meh!! and not grinding anymore.)

I prefer just running River District runs instead of the same repeats ad nauseum of shores, vt, cn, malabog, etc.

Companion gear? gee let me think spend endless time doing dungeon grind or create personalized double slot rings with professions.

Gee Mdemo, pom , thrones ad nauseum repeats(and get USELESS RINGS!!) or double slotted personalized gear created in a few hours?

I quit running pom after getting psions shroud for my CW and seeing elven epic gear had better power and crit stats than the touted psions gear from pom.

In other words the bind on pick up gear from dungeons needs a better drop rate or hey! put it in the Seals Trader store for either Adventurer or Protectors seals and done.

I haven't ran a dungeon in a long time on PS4 mostly do to low RNG. There is a lot of gear that has become irrelevant in game right now as well. I agree the professions rings are way better than companion gear.

I run dungeons because... well, they are the only fun part of the game to me. That and using the stronghold like a playground.

I accept that I won't get good drops, and I just run the dungeons I want, help out pugs that I find and then buy what I need off the AH since I know it won't ever drop for me.

but I could see that it would be very frustrating and a complete turn off from the game to some people.

I will say that I hate the skirmishes other than the new one, but I wouldn't farm it. So I just don't run them unless the guild needs shards.

I still do dungeon runs mainly for AD. Mostly look for CN orcus fights or runs nearing the end.

I feel skirmishes take too long for the AD. IG was good when lots of fleece farmers forced bronze runs. Now it's mostly gold runners and not worth the time.

I like to run the dungeons, as several of them increase RAD, but I also have pretty decent luck with the RNG drops. I have gotten gear in most of every single dungeon, but for some reason my luck with the +5 rings is hellish. It's not that I haven't received a +5 drop, I have, but the two I did receive... completely useless. I have two DPS, a CW and HR, and my +5 drops: "invulnerability" and "deflection". The latter may have been a decent find but for the fact that my HR build does not utilize deflection. Of course, this only includes the demonic theme dungeon runs, as I have run MSVA and FBI so many times I have lost count, but have not yet received one legendary ring.

My issue is that I had thought that the new item/gear drops were the start of something, not a one time, "be all, end all", of drops. I don't see why we cannot add more different types of gear to the RNG drops at the instances. Why not? It will indirectly benefit RNG chances, because there is more gear to roll the lucky find to obtain when opening that treasure box. More importantly, more versatility in builds. I think more gear needs to be introduced to the drops for dungeons and possibly refreshed from time to time to keep the player base interested and motivated to dungeon crawl.

I went away for a few mods because I got bored. Now back I run few dungeons but sometimes it can be fun with friends. I guess the occasional fun with guildies is more my motivation for dungs. If I want some AD I just do a couple of CTs. I def don't run edemo for chance at orange rings...too long for too small reward. Overall boring.

Dungeons are best part of this game, to me anyway.

I've pretty HAMSTER RNG but in the last week ive had the horn drop in eLOL, 2 unbound mounts and a 200K belt drop. All up worth around 800K.

So for the rest of this week, im not complaining.

But most of the time, the rewards are terrible, terrible.

Atm, I'm solely running RD dailies on all my Chars. so I can have the weapons for 2x RP.

But yeah, I have zero interest in dungeons, I'll do them if someone in the Alliance needs bodies but other than that IDGAF.

The CN head gear os all that would remotely interest me and considering I know people who have run it more than 250 times and not had it drop EVEN ONCE for their single character, yeah... screw that. I'm not doing that for 10+ chars.

They need to add a system where there is a vendor for each dungeon that sells the rare loot that dungeon gives for currency unique to that dungeon. Every run should reward 1 of that currency so that after 50 or so runs with no drop you can just run a few more and buy the item instead.

At this point there's no incentive to try and any there might be later is heavily overshadowed by the still atrocious RNG.

RNG is rough, for sure. I ran well over 300 MC's attempting to get The Blackthorn. I finally got to the point where I gave up and then I randomly got it during a PUG. I have also never had a +5 ring drop--I've run CN, Throne, PoM, etc., more times than I care to admit. That being said, I don't think that the RNG needs to change that much if at all. Items that are perceived to be BiS, should not be indicative of must haves. I believe they should fall into an ideal set of equipment but, if I never see a +5 ring drop, I won't feel like I've been slighted at all.

I would not call myself the luckiest guy in the game, by far. There are ppl who have all +5 rings. A friend did get his 2nd legendary drop from a lockbox in 3 month, etc.

But seriously, I did get some drops after hundreds of runs. Either there are really some players totally screwed by RNG or they are exaggerating. Not one of the guys I know, who farmed gear, did get nothing. Maybe they did not get the +5 ring they wanted, but nothing?

Dungeons give you the AD to but things in game to help improve your character or buy style items. The original poster listed the lower dungeons but not T2 dungeons. As I pointed out in another thread, the dungeons that require higher item level tend to drop better loot.

If you want a shot at unique loot, run CN and other dugeons with item level 2k or more.

As for the River district, I have lost four or five days of campaign currency due to glitches. That is very annoying.

Wow, no surprise asomeone that got a legendary mount got a second one. It seems those that get a legendary are bound to get them more often.
