Bilethorn vs Vorpal

Is the vorpal still BiS for overall dps? Or has the bilethorn taken the throne.

    Never got back to this. I think Vorpal is still the best option. We had some weird results with Lightning but not a reliable test since there were 2 TR's in the run. You will probably have better results with Lightning in aoe combat and in single target combat i doubt any other enchant would be better enough to be worth replacing Vorpal. If we get any tests worth mentioning im sure it will appear here in Thieves Den :)

    Many of us tr keep the secrets to ourselves or pass them one on one in game. There is always honor among thieves.

    I hate paying taxes! Why must I pay thousands of dollars in taxes when everything I buy is taxed anyways!

    I virtually never post on these forums but, I ran into Demonmonger yesterday. I was pleasantly surprised to see that she was very similarly built to my toon. We had a quick conversation exchanging perspectives and as such, it's working for both of us thus far. However, I imagine that it would be exceedingly unpopular considering the current mindset towards "proper" builds in this game.

    I digress, however. I recently tested a transcendent bilethorn and while I do not have any parse logs to reference, I'm basing this purely upon my ability to clear mobs. A perfect or higher vorpal seemed to be decidedly more effective at clearing mobs than the bilethorn was. However, when testing this on a GWF, it seems that the ticks from the dot were substantially higher. I'm sure that's a direct result of their high base weapon damage.

    Either way, I do not use either a vorpal or bilethorn on a regular basis nor am I geared anywhere near as well as Demonmonger. Nevertheless, I'm able to pretty consistently breach 100m+ in CN--if that's a bar for any of you to reference.

    This tester must involve some sort of honor among thieves, because I haven't heard anything about this enchantment tester.

    I'm generally cautious around mysterious gifts, so, since you guys are the masters of unlocking, would you guys mind checking if there's any traps in this present?

    It also came with the note below, which, I'm not sure how relevant this is, but maybe this can help you guys a bit with figuring out who sent me this present.

    I dont know if in the D part the starting 2 hits were forgotten or left out on purpose. Also not sure how Bleed stacks do not proc enchants... Not even Vorpal?
    The present doesnt tell me much so ill try to summon @micky1p00 to see if he can tell us more about it and check for traps.

    The starting two hits are represented by (0.75 * 2) in the denominator.

    Bleed, from what I could tell, can Crit, so it procs Vorpal, but other than that, it doesn't proc any other enchant's weapon damage (Ex: can't get Lightning procs off the Bleed, or Bilethorn procs off the bleed).
